Burden of proof is very different in a civil case. They can also call the guy to the stand in a civil case and force him to testify.

and not exactly a big one given the only guy to enter the room will not die from any disease anyways.
Good on the guy to be acquitted due to lack of evidence. I hope that drunkard family wises up now instead of going for a civil suit that would hopefully fail just the same.
He also happened to be guilty as fuck and somehow the jury acquitted him. There was plenty of evidence against him.
The acquittal isn't a surprise considering most people lack the capacity for critical thinking.
