I personally have never noticed a heat issue with my Tempur-Pedic (Rhapsody model) and it's not even one of the newer "anti-heat" models. Either I'm just not sensitive to it, or it's the fact that my thermostat is set to 69F when I sleep. Never really noticed an issue banging on it either..

Its kind of funny because in the winter here in Ohio it would be really hard when you first get in it and it took maybe 15 minutes until it heated up enough for it to do its trademark contouring to your body. So you'd just be sleeping in basically a ditch until it heated up enough to actually do it's thing. So I'd always have to re-adjust (and generally move elsewhere in the bed because there is a giant dent where I was previously) and then fall asleep again. Then in the summer it would be like sleeping in an oven. And then trying to bang. Oh god. Doing anything cowgirl is like fucking in quicksand. Doing missionary has no bounce-back which makes that position weird too. Even doggie is a pain because your knees sink hella deep.

Overall I must be that 1 out of 100 that would not recommend the mattress

Are you sure you had a SOLID base under the mattress and not a standard box spring? What you describe is what happens when you don't have a solid base-- slow sinking as it heats up.. With a rigid base the "sinking" is eliminated.

Yes I didn't even have a box spring. It was on a platform.

I just cannot fall asleep when I'm being touched by anything. Doesn't matter if it's human or not.

Your thermostat may be set to 69 but we both know your heat is off.

Do you levitate?!

If I had my thermostat set to 69, my AC would never shut off and my electric bill would be like 1000 bucks. I need to move.

A/C off in the winter(if you can really call it winter here) and usually 75 rest of the year.

Ours is weird because we only have 1 thermostat for our Cape, it's downstairs which gets crazy cold and the heat traps upstairs. Now with a kid it's like a game of playing with thermostat all night. We've lowered the flow to his radiators but if it's really cold, like 20F or below it just goes nonstop. We have the heat pump units for the winter and they sit at 72 and essentially are on 24/7 just very low. House is never hot in the summer which is great.

That's how I roll here. Alabama is still hitting eat shit and die levels of heat sometimes. We set it to 79 when we leave the house because that shit WILL get hotter if you let it.

Even though it's radiant heat? I'm trying to think of why that would work. The real issue is heat is trapped upstairs

We do 66 in the winter and about 73 in the summer. We all like it cool in the winter.

The bed thing we sleep together on a king. We just bought one of the costco foam mattresses to replace our old spring sealy psturepedic that was like 13 yrs old, lol. and its nice. And aside some touching here and there until we fall aslep we usually keep to our side. Were both pretty hard sleepers.
