Yep. Having an at home spouse needs to be a joint decision. If both members aren't on the same page it creates so much tension. I know a few families in that situation.

If my husband woke up one morning and decided he wanted me to work, I'd get all my transcripts ready and figure out how to go back to school. I married a catholic mid-west boy so I'd be surprised as fuck if that happened, but I wouldn't fight it.

I have a family member that's husband has been a stay at home dad for the last 11 years. She does the cooking and the dishes and most of the car pooling. Now the oldest just turned 16 so they don't even need car pooling...Damn, she's been trying to get him to get a job for the last 8 years and she's about had it up to her eye balls and has definitely mentioned the d word.

More to life than sex. I'm not particularly satisfied with our sex routine but I can't imagine someone better as far as life partner. No women is perfect we have sex all the time and she rocks otherwise .

Monogamy isn't easy but the stability it brings can have a lot of benefit. I'm a middle aged guy who has only been with one women that isn't adventurous in bed. Curiosity will always be my burden but no I don't plan on doing anything about it
