If your spouse cheats and deceives the third party in such a way that the third party does not know they are being used. This lets the third party off the hook. If the spouse badmouthed you to the third party with lies to garner sympathy of the "shitty marriage" this is a mostly also your spouse, but the third party at least know of a marriage, although they think it might be more equivalent to prison.

If your spouse cheats with someone who has full knowledge of the situation, that person takes on another level of responsibility. If there are kids involved, and they know, that's a wee bit less good too. I think there is a lot of grey area here to lay blame. I think its pretty easy to make the case that sometimes the third party is a mega asshole and holds much responsibility, and other times they can actually be an unwitting player pulled into the greater relationship drama.

Yes, I know that the cheating aspect was what was being discussed and not me anymore, that was the point of the post. That, and I got to be silly for a brief moment in the middle of my work day.

G liked Onoes; as in he found good qualities in him in addition to all the "interesting" things as noted above. He liked him enough that he wanted the best for him; as he did most of you. He really liked most of you. I am not telling you which ones of you he didn't though.

after a slow burn I saw coming about a year ago, my ex-wife (divorce final about 9 years ago) reached out and started a so far pretty cool chat on facebook messenger. Not sure of feels.

Much like bringing snacks to class, if you're sharing your wife with one person in the thread, you have to share with the rest of us. I'll need pics first.

She's your ex for a reason. Don't forget it.

Either you kicked her to the curb because she was trash, or she thought she could do better than you and found out she can't.

No good can come of it.

Agreed. Be friendly, but check the feels.

Pretty much what Cut and Soy said. I know a few ex's that have got back together. One was a married couple and they even got remarried and they seem to be doing well but I feel that is by far the exception and not the norm. I'd say stay friendly and keep it to that only.
