To each their own, we waited and I think I am a better Dad because of it. I was way too selfish in my 20s to be a Dad and I knew it. I am 42 the Wife is 40 and our boys are 9.5 and 8.I will be mid 50s when they are done with college or trade school or whatever they choose.

Also, hoping to adopt a little girl one year younger than my youngest, but the process is long and tedious.

To be fair I think the majority have been on birth control / IUD / etc. Of all of them I do know several instances that were not, but definitely a minority.

If you do it perfectly it's like 96% effective. It also has some factors like if you already ejaculated but haven't pissed there will be sperm in your urethra. Precum and whether or not yours contains sperm (NOT getting into this argument again) and of course how fertile you both are, if she's ovulating, etc.

Do you live in a metropolitan area at all?

I wouldn’t say you’re wrong because I know exactly what you’re talking about, but here in the Bay Area at least I feel like there’s a lot of attractive women on Tinder who have interesting things to say / good careers / hobbies, etc, and aren’t all about sex or sexy images at all.

I feel like Tinder is way way worse in smaller areas because I’ve looked at it in smaller areas.

I recently was on Tinder while in Phoenix, it's all meth addicts and standard AZ desert trash. Me and a friend were both back there for a wedding so most of our downtime was spent trolling Tinder and it's nothing like a major city. Tinder is just a time killer/way to meet people/get laid but in Phoenix everyone was trying to use it like a dating app as well which is weird, I assume cause it's a pain in the ass to get anywhere there and have to drive everywhere.

Something like that may have less dead fish eyes for a response. Admit a difficulty, allow her to solve it. Invite her to talk about herself. If it doesn't hit within a few minutes, offer something personal to relieve the pressure against seeming self involved. Something small and honest.

If it still doesn't hit, oh well. You tried.
