I concur. I always end up with a disturbing feeling when I see someone do something like this and then try and rationalize/follow their thought process on why they did it.

Yeah that reminds me a lot of myself in high school. I had this 3 year, on-again off-again relationship that was toxic as hell. We were terrible to each other and a lot of those kind if message were exchanged.

I don't remember using "like" that way even back then though. Those are terrible to read.

I think maybe you were too nice. I did not expect this sort of persistent crazy. If you'd been able to give her a reason to HATE you maybe this wouldn't be happening. Maybe she could feel, like you do, that she managed to get out while the getting was good.

Of course, it would probably still be happening.
