She better be way beyond hyper-nerd to wear anything master linked. That shit would get old pretty quick.

Well, you only wear engagement rings till the wedding, and after that just on special occasions.

But I'm not sure what you mean by master linked.

I dunno. I wonder if that's regional. Down here a lot of women will wear both. The engagement ring is blingy-er.

You might be a redneck if...

It varies by culture. And by ring size (I've never seen a gold digger who didn't wear her ring and they are always huge). Traditionally one wears both. You transfer the engagement ring to the right hand the day of the wedding, put the wedding band on, then transfer the engagement ring back so it goes on second and you wear them together. There are a number of very intricate rings that have a locking mechanism so they essentially become one ring when worn together.

My wife wears her engagement ring only, because that's all she wanted and that's all I bought. She's not a diamond gal either, so I got her a nice ruby ring with tiny diamonds around it. It's cute and didn't put me in debt.

To give you an idea right now shea wearing a batman ring and a celtic themed ring. She wears batman, zelda, superman jewlery.

The idea I had was a platnium band with a inlaid gold tri-force. And the spiritual stones in the triangles.

Or just a platnium band with an etched tri force and the stones.

I want this...but its to expensive.

Fuck it. Get a couple quarters then, and hit the ring vending machine at the supermarket. If she accepts it, she's a keeper.

God is your wedding going to be sponsored by /r/gaming
There most likely wont be a wedding. We will probably just elope and have a get together with some friends.

With the money saved from not having a wedding we will go somewhete nice for our honeymoon or get ourselves a nice wedding present.

The idea is to get married and save up for a year to go somewhere we both really want to go for our honeymoon if you want to call it that.

Im actully house sitting right now and shes spending the weekend. We are watching Doll House, playing Magic and getting chinese food. And puttin the old p in the v. Shes pretty cool, obviously a keeper.

I don't wear rings, and never would, but I actually like most of those rings grump posted on the last page.

Which makes me wonder if they're good rings. If they suitmytaste in what a ring should look like, they probably suck.

I used to think getting married was a good idea. After a couple long term relationships gone sour (being cheated on, crazy mothers etc.) I can't conceive of a situation where getting married would make me more happy then it would make me perpetually insecure. You are essentially entering into a contract with someone who has a huge law advantage on there side should things go wrong.

My little sister is getting married in two months so I have been thinking about it more then normal and it just seems like men are forced into a death trap here.

Then I read this today.

A year and a half... yea that's long enough to know. She's like 21 right? Not a good idea man.
