Cad, It wasn't a denouncement of Ortega just a question. I really don't understand ceding basic responsibility for washing my own cloths and making my own lunch. Cooking eh I like it, was just curious about the setup. Taken out of context his post sounds like someone who is happy he found someone to take on all the responsibilities of a mother is all. Of course we don't know the dynamic, so I asked instead of shitting on him :p.

I find it hard to let chicks cook or wash my clothes since they don't ever seem to be really good at either task.

I've told her several times I'm more than capable of doing my own laundry man, but it is what it is. She generally races to do that crap. I try my best to beat her to stuff like the dishes, and I do my fair share of grilling (mostly fish since Asians are addicted to it). I usually decline her making me lunch as I like to get out of the office during that time, but it is still very sweet, and sometimes she forces it upon me. As Cad eluded to I make the majority of money, and will occasionally put in way more than 40 hours in a given week. I handle the majority of outdoor work, as well as everything else. I'm not quite sure how to elaborate more than that. I'm not the type that just sits on the couch while she does everything. I always go grocery shopping with her, and all that jazz, help her fold clothes, whatever... All in all we have a pretty solid relationship.

I'm not sure I understand the entire mother thing. If you guys are picturing your mothers doing your laundry, and all that jazz do you think that's something they started after you were born or something they've always done? I really doubt if you have a serious girlfriend right now who doesn't cook or clean that she's magically going to flick a switch as soon as you have kids, but that's just my opinion.

What types of white girls are you guys dating that are all disastrous? The bitchy blonde kind?

Two of the worst girls I've ever dated on the crazy scale were an Asian and a Persian.

American born asians are the worst because stupid white guys think they are getting a foreign born asian so those girls get a lot of attention, but they are spoiled american princesses just like whites. And persians are you kidding me? Those girls are rich and spoiled and promiscuous. Which is fine for fun but not wife material.

ITT: People have a handful of experiences and feel super confident (cocky, even!) that it applies to a whole group.

It seems far more useful to identify actual behaviors and characteristics of the "princess" (or whatever) type you don't like then to break it down by White vs Asian. One's probably a lot more useful in identifying the type you don't like. Avoid the princess stereotype instead of all white women. I don't understand why you wouldn't look at it that way.

That's been what this thread is from the very beginning. I'll definitely agree that the whole "white women" thing has nothing to do with white and everything to do with entitled or spoiled bitches. There's simply way more white women(of all personality types) in America.

You really think most people would say the definition of "The American Dream" is yours than that one? I'm not saying it's necessarily reality, but that's what people think of when they think of "The American Dream." That definition is from dictionary.com and the second one there is also more fitting than "Let's be our parents." I mean, Jesus Christ, just about every American immigrant story ever told starts with that idea of the American Dream.

Google that phrase and see what definition the first couple dozen results are more like.
Ok, I understand more where you're coming from now. You're talking about the ideal people hold in their heads about the American Dream vs what the reality is. I agree with you.

Well... the "American Dream" is basically the man being a dad for his wife and the wife being a mom for her husband. I mean, that literally is the American Dream
I think that is horribly outdated. These days most families have two income earners. The American Dream has shifted to now being equal partners in child raising and household chores. The days of the man going to the office 7-7 with 3 children at home with the stay at home mom having the brisket on the table are long gone.

Why do you generalize like this? If you want a woman that stays at home and has brisket on the table with your 3 kids, you can find that. You are broadly stereotyping across a whole culture and thats just not the reality. If you want to find a woman of whatever type, you can.

Economies of scale and the power of specialization is the true path to the American Dream.

I'm aware you can find whatever you want. I'm arguing the new standard for the American family.

Oh, so you're arguing a broad trend that is usually true but not always, so your statement is still valid? Interesting

Probably also to do with how this board is pretty skewed with people in upper income brackets which usually means that's the people they commonly associate with so it's real easy to find spoiled white girls in that crowd.

The problem is what Tenks is talking about is still the minority, I know because it's what I am looking for and it still isn't a prevalent train of thought in our society. What I originally stated sadly is still the American Dream (TM). I wish it would have shifted already, it's probably an attitude the young 20 somethings hold but that doesn't really do ME any good since I'm 32.

I know what you're getting at but until you can bring me actual evidence that somehow Asian women are less high maintaninence than American women you don't really have an argument outside of your limited anecdotal evidence.
