Mormons create the most butthurt atheists. It makes me glad I was only subjected to Roman Catholicism. I'm a completely indifferent atheist.

I'm a converted Mormon, and happy! Wife has been LDS her whole life! Are you saying I'm doomed to be a bitter atheist?

Is that even allowed? Did you have to go to the mormon pope for dispensation? Is dating a mormon her version of exercising her daddy issues? Does she know about her future sister-wives?

Im not mormon, I was raised a jw but never got baptized.
That's no fun. I was baptized a catholicby a marine. I didn't end up a catholic or a marine. I am disappoint.

Anyway, good luck with that. According to the people that sell diamonds, they're a timeless expression of love. Something to consider.

We are both beyond excited and happy to have a child together. We have talked about it a bunch and both want kids. We had planned to spend 4-5 years married gallivanting around doing couple stuff before having kids. She was diligently taking the pill so it's defiantly a surprise but it's a really good thing. We are both very happy

The child was conceived right after playing that new Ultimate Wizard battles board game so no.

I wouldnt been dating her if I didnt trust her to do something to take the pill. She was, we just got lucky

Hope everything works out, but this shit is not going according to plan man! Is her family not going to disown her? Baby out of wedlock for JW's is a huge no-no, I would imagine.

Oh, what a difference two years can make:

I used to think getting married was a good idea. After a couple long term relationships gone sour (being cheated on, crazy mothers etc.) I can't conceive of a situation where getting married would make me more happy then it would make me perpetually insecure. You are essentially entering into a contract with someone who has a huge law advantage on there side should things go wrong.

My little sister is getting married in two months so I have been thinking about it more then normal and it just seems like men are forced into a death trap here.

Look man we aren't calling you a liar but using the pill every single day without a single miss is over 99% effective. I even think taking it at different times during the day fucks the percentage up

Well you pretty much have to go get married. If only to reassure the families. You don't want to be fighting this battle for the next 20 years.

Don't be a poor who says, "Nah man! Live free! Marriage means nothing!"

Maybe you're right. Maybe you're wrong. Put a ring on it anyway. At the end of the day, it's just a ring.

Religion is going to be a big stumbling block for you two. Even if it isn't a problem between the two of you or between you and the family, let me ask you this: assuming everything goes awesome and the two of you crank out a couple kids 5 years down the road, or more likely, within 9 months of being married, are you going to just sit idly by while she and her family go in to full on indoctrination mode with your child? Are you okay with them telling your own child that daddy is completely wrong about religion and life? You're going to be cool with that?
