There are a few summoner heros Pyros.
Loki, Squirrel Girl, Colossus, Rocket Raccoon can all be built as summoners. There are a lot of items in the game to boost those summons as well.
Squirrel Girl and Loki are the 2 strongest summoner heros if you build them that way. And both of them can deal good damage themselves even if you build them as summoners.
Here is a quick rundown for all you new folks of the characters I've played and maxed legendaries with at 60:
Black Widow: She can dish out a ton of damage, can get to very high brutal strike numbers (currently mine sits at 53% crit and 51% brut which is roughly 26% chance overall to brutally strike). She can be built a variety of ways. The easy, no gear necessary build is a ranged build focusing on stinging barrage (this is a high attack speed, piercing attack. Meaning it travels through it's targets and hits other targets behind the original target for full damage), Coup De Grace (High damage one off attack used at max widowmaker which is her secondary resource), Widow's Kiss (Energy DoT) and Rolling Grenades (Energy Dot) with Timed Explosives to keep mobs taunted. This build also utilizes her two passives. Red Room Reflexes is maxed (because it's probably the single best passive in the entire game) and Kevlar Reinforced Bodysuit is at 35 (which she gets granted at rank 35 from one of her uniques, so I have 0 actual points in it).
The strategy is to lay down Timed Explosive, throw down your Widow's Kiss and Rolling Grenades DoT's. hit your Signature (one point wonder) and just lay into the boss with Stinging Barrage, Lay down another Timed Explosive and repeat. Once you get the timing down you can taunt even Cosmic Terminal bosses indefinitely with TE and just re-apply her DoT's and use Stinging Barrage in between. This allows you to build her completely 100% offensive because she never gets attacked and when you do start to take aggro if you mistime your TE's you can just roll away which puts you into stealth. Currently with Gungir at rank 4 and 4 hela blessings I have 53% crit, 51% brut, 451% brut damage and 263% crit damage. This build and hero in general is great for grouping in things like X-Def. You can keep all bosses stationary and not doing any damage to anyone in your party while they focus everything down and she does very, very good damage. Max Coup De Grace brut so far for me is 830K+.
Storm: Storm is just a no brainer character. She does the best AE damage in the game (sorry Dr. Strange and Scarlet Witch, you still can't compete with her damage if nothing is attacking her, though you can come close). The build is max Freezing Tempest, Crashing Hail, Ball Lightning, Lightning Storm and Spirited. 1 point into Refreshing Breeze for the CC Break, 1 point into Quickening Breeze for the attack speed and the rest into Lightning Column. The play style is completely brain dead, stay away from shit and blow everything up. Crashing Hail is one of the few spammable AE CC DoTs in the game. You can lay it down on the entire screen and it lasts a long time. Then you throw down a Lightning storm, hit quickening breeze and just spam Ball Lightning. Here's where most novice storms go wrong. They think because Lightning Column has a chance to stun they should just spam that... but that's completely inefficient. It does way less damage than Ball Lightning and has a longer cast time and a miniscule AE effect. The other thing most new storms do wrong is trying to spam Lightning Storm. It's a major spirit sink and doesn't have even close to as much AE coverage as Ball Lightning. Ball Lightning is your go to spam spell all day, everyday. It hits targets multiple times and then spreads out after hitting a target to hit everything around it. It's Storms bread and butter. When I was maining Storm and they still had damage meters in X-Def I never... not even once got beaten on damage meters except for when Rotmouth beat me that one time on his (much better geared) Storm. The only characters that ever even came close were Hawkeye (Hawkeye does a lot of goddamn damage when geared) and maybe one or two very good Scarlet Witches and Dr. Stranges. Usually I was in the damage lead by like 20 million, it was ridiculous.
Ms. Marvel: What can I say about Ms. Marvel. She is the BEST tank in the entire game outside of maybe..... maybe Hulk (Hulk is so fucking cool though, and they nailed his voice acting... seriously, after you buy Ms. Marvel go buy Hulk). I'm not gonna delve too deep into Ms. Marvel other than to say this. She has the best (and it's not even close) inate attribute distribution in the game. She gets Energy, Speed, Strength, Fighting AND Durability in heaps just simply from levelling up. I'm pretty sure David Brevik used to J/O to Ms. Marvel comics growing up... it's the only explanation I have (but let's face it my comic book bros, if you met a woman who looked like Ms. Marvel you might do some really stupid shit just to impress her, like lease a Ferrari or something else equally retarded, you might even make the effort to put on a nice pair of shoes and comb your fuckin' hair for once in your life... dirtbags). Ms. Marvel gets a shitload of health regen through abilities and also flat 40% DR (stacks additively with your stats) from her signature and 25% DR (also additive with stats) from spending her secondary resource. Her Ult is also absolutely absurd, 50% DR (again... additive while doing insane amounts of damage). She doesn't do the greatest damage but her damage is respectable and she is ultra tanky, even in crap gear. In fact, going over about 43% DR from gear and hitting the really overkill stupid diminishing returns they have in this game is pretty much not worth it with her. New to the game? Buy Ms. Marvel and have a blast jumping all over the place with Crashdown Strike healing for stupid amount of health because of her flight suit effect and just being almost impossible to kill. No... really... go buy Ms. Marvel.
Black Panther: Ahhh yes. My favorite character in this game and currently my main. Black Panther is actually the most interesting man in the world, except he isn't so arrogant and narcissistic that he feels the need to make commercials for a shitty beer. He is one of the few heroes in this game you can build very defensively while also boosting his (very potent) offensive prowess. He requires a little bit of gear to really get into total badass "I probably won't ever want to main another hero because I'm popping the biggest, blackest boner on earth right now" territory, but once you get there it's not possible to not love playing him. He's incredibly mobile, super durable, can stealth to get out of dire situations and dishes out Clubber Lang style "PAAAAAAAINNN". So here is my current build. Max Panther Grace and Panther Soul (because they are must have ridiculous passives), Wrath of Bast (Oh hey there 1.5 mill AE brut strikes on a short cooldown that also boost the rest of my damage for a duration), Predator's Frenzy (You serious? 100k crits on a double swing attack?), Savage Strike (Yep, that shit ticks for like 20k non crit with good gear) and Jungle Snare (Oh a vulnerability AE that ticks for stupid damage too? I should buy a goddamn scratch off ticket... I can't lose!). Spend the rest of your points in Enervating Slash (moooooooooooooooooor DoT damage!) and 1 point into slashing lunge (Am I flying? I'm pretty sure I'm fucking flying). When running Cosmics for the bounty you Stealthy Escape to stealth, hit Knockdown Sweep for good damage (even with only 1 point), throw down a jungle snare and watch every non elite die. Then you Slashing Lunge to the next pack and repeat. For bosses you Unseen Predator (Oh I forgot, 1 point into Unseen Predator and 1 point into Blessing of Bast for the spirit regen), lay down Jungle Snare, hit Savage Strike and Wrath Of Bast, get some stacks of enervating slash and then just Predator's Frenzy the hell out of that stupid boss. "Oh hey juggerbitch, guess you weren't unstoppable after all". Rinse and repeat. Black Panther is pretty much Michael Vick and every boss is a dog.
