I really like Thing and hope his 52 review isn't a complete train-wreck (like Wolverine's was imo, better now). The problem I have with him is that I hated Head-butting when that was his best move, and NOW his best move is a Backhand Slap.
That's the main issue. I think every hero can probably be played effectively with enough effort, but there are simply a few of them that are head and shoulders above the rest. Nobody face tanks and deals damage at the same time--while giving no fucks at all about spirit--like Ms. Marvel, Moon Knight has a sig that annihilates a single target in a way that very few ultimates can even compare to, etc. It's not that the 'average' heroes are bad, they just tend to pale in comparison to the best ones.
Have not done/have no interest in the raid, but people who've taken Ms. Marvel to it are complaining that her tankiness is completely wasted there and it's all about max dps because there's timers on everything and pretty much all damage can be avoided.
Splinters drop every 7-8 minutes as long as you kill something at least close to your level. The timer ticks while afk in a hub, etc.
If there is no character that you know you want already then what would you like to do? Stealth, area damage king, single target king, etc.
Na base timer is 6-8, seems to vary a bit, was faster during events it looked like. The potion simply increase drops, you get a lot of 2 and 3 drops at once.
Prestiging gives a basic costume, 3 costumes gives you a random costume from the crafter(lvl 20), random meaning it can be another/the same basic, but can also be an enhanced costume or whatever.
