Marvel Heroes 20xx

Yeah I went back to Storm after getting Iron Man to 60, she really wrecks shit. Been working on leveling my cosmic control rod, but I might give speed running Hood cosmic a try for awhile. Already done it once yesterday since I guessed it would be relatively easy with all the walls blocking mobs.

So the guy whose Storm build I copied has her ultimate at level 20. Does that really mean he's spent 3800 splinters just to max her ultimate? Seems ridiculous.

Ms. Marvel is going to be even more of a beast than she already is once the attribute changes go live. I worked on a gearing strategy for Black Panther last night and he's going to be a beast too.

People who bought the hero pack with all the heroes, and also play a lot, tend to accumulate a lot of splinters.

Just started messing around with this played hawkeye until I got the first free boost of splinters so I did the random hero unlock. I got rocket raccoon. HAHA okay the villians of this game really did not see an angry raccoon coming but I have to say at least at low levels he seems pretty decent.

Did you try Taskmaster? His zone is pretty quick and the mobs are packed pretty tight.

So I did a few MODOK runs last night. With storm is takes about 6-7 minutes to do the full bounty clear + kill MODOK without ult. That's definitely the way to farm cosmics for me. Still trying to get a farming team together though, I hate farming cosmics solo and need some decent cosmic rings.

Rocket isn't that bad, I just got him to 60 last weekend. I was going through my characters and getting them up to 60, out of the 18 I have only Deadpool and Black Widow are under 50. Saved up 1000 splinters and bought Spiderman and Loki last night...must..have..more..characters!

Randomed Hawkeye Trying to decide how many more times I should random before I start buying specific heroes. I want Cyclops, seems like he would be easy to level and that +xp synergy bonus looks sexy as hell.

What is your Storm build/gear setup? Mine has about 19.5k hp and is still annoyingly squishy. Do you have a 25% core with invulnerability on it?

19.5k hps? Good god, my Storm has like 12k and I can still do cosmic Modok with no deaths. Takes me a bit longer than 6-7 minutes for a full bounty clear though, lol.

I should have clarified, most of my problems come on cosmic Kurse runs.

There is no hero out there that doesn't have issues with cosmic Kurse. My Ms. Marvel can handle it but if you get unlucky with those goddamn giants and everything in there that charges you just die. There is nothing you can do. Though I can pretty much face tank Kurse himself with her.

My storm has 16.5k hp, I have all her uniques but only use her slot 1 and slot 3 (bracers and cape). The other 3 slots are all cosmics with health/def/skills and invuln shield procs. Cosmic Control Rod for legendary, a shitty cosmic ring, Power Prism Shard, Pym Shrinking Serum, Maht's Arrowhead (for the spirit regen, though I don't need it in cosmics and should probably swap it out), Advanced Metasensory array. Ranged damage uru with River enchant, all artifacts enchanted with the 5% damage to bosses, 7 spirit on enemy kill blessing. Cosmic Doc Oc medallion, and about 300 of the area damage relics. I'm debating swapping out the Doc Oc for a Madame Hydra or Juggernaut medallion (hard decision because the increased radius is pretty awesome on Storm) and the Uru for a Defense Uru. Also debating swapping out power prism shard for another defensive artifact.

Core is a ~1600 hp, +1 Durability core with rank 1 and 3 +health affixes and rank 2 and 4 +dmg affixes. I really wish Life Leech cores were still around.

Build is:

Freezing Tempest, Crashing Hail, Lightning Storm, Spirited and Ball Lightning all maxed

1 point in Lightning Column just for the few times in X-Def when I need spirit, 1 point in Turbulent Winds, 1 point in Refreshing Breeze and 17 points (or thereabouts) in Quickening Breeze.

Lay down Crashing Hail everywhere, get to a safe spot, throw down a lightning storm hit Quickening and spam Ball Lightning. In Cosmics even blue trash dies in like 3 ball lightnings after Crashing Hail and Lightning Storm.


Alot of people think you should build more crit/brut and get Hela on her artifacts but she does a shitload of damage even with my measly 17% crit. She doesn't need it at all. When the damage meters were still around in X-Def I think out of like 100 X-Def runs only 2 people ever outdamaged me. Both were Hawkeyes somehow. The endless mana is much more important so you can spam Ball Lightning and throw down Lightning Storm every 3 seconds.

I'd kill for a halfway decent costume core.

I got a ton of lvl 60 xgenes sittin around from farming with my storm. Never did get the one I wanted, with health and 25% restore. Had to get one off a friend.
Doomsaw posted in the main forums that they are looking into changing them anyways. Since they made them +25% back when we had a lot less health.
I have just about any other combination in xgenes. I can just give ya one. Hit me up in game. same name here.

It really doen't take too much. I've been sporadically playing for a couple of months and have Jean's up to 16 or 17 now. I don't really buy heroes though. I already have the few which I want to play and are available.

Even though I love my current job, I think it'd be fun to work on the Marvel Heroes team; the game is entertaining and I like their plans for it, they definitely seem to "get it" though I am curious what raids will be like. Guess we'll find out soon!
