No. Though there was an Iron Man plot (Armor Wars) that was about Stark finding out that someone stole some of his older tech designs quite a while ago and put them to use in a lot of stuff and he got upset over it. Theoretically he hunted down and eliminated most if not all of it. I suppose there could be some built on his designs though.

If you look at the second pic, shooting the cable from the wrist, that is the older, original design for them. They kind of "evolved" to look more Iron Man like over the years. If it is a deliberate or artistic thing it is hard to say. The guys at Marvel may just like glowy things on chests.

Really not a big fan of the Sentinels but could see how some good post-production work could make them look pretty nice. The chest for thrust is strange yet makes some sense, and also allows for limbs to be ripped off and still be mobile or whatever. Seeing them in motion will make or break them. Hard to see them moving as fluidly/well as machines in iRobot for example.

That's pretty interesting with the Quicksilver thing. $20 says Marvel's version is much better and truer to the source.

I don't get the hate. Maybe it is because I didn't see them as a kid, but the comic book sentinels that I have seen look horrible. These look much more like a bipedal robot that a modern lab would make.
