Jeffrey Bell stated that Cal is the one who put her back together. Was this ever hinted at on the show? Seems like a cop-out to me.

Well when Gordon brought Hyde to wherever he is now, he said you get to meet our leader or whatever, but they never actually showed who he met with. So it could have been his wife, and they'll show that meeting in a flashback next week.

Gonzales was testing her: Either May trusts him and believes he's part of SHIELD and won't fire the gun, or May believes him to be a traitor and will. May chose the option which reveals nothing: By telling him the gun wasn't loaded, she leaves unanswered as to whether or not she would fire it if it were. If she trusts him, she wouldn't fire the gun, but if she doesn't, she's not going to put up the charade of pretending to fire an unloaded gun. It's basically classic May keeping all of her cards close to her chest.
Amy Acker did. She was the cellist Coulson had to let go of since he couldn't reveal he was brought back from death.
I really hope Olmos' character is revealed to be a bad guy. This whole witch hunt against Coulson and his team is stupid.
It's pretty clear at his worst he is misguided. They work hard at everybody saying how great this guy is while he's doing things that make viewers detest him.

yeah, not liking her is an understatement, i think its the actress playing her more than the character itself. she emits huge waves on my bitchdar
i just assumed skye's mom was alive all along because she had that scene with younger gordon and the other asian chick conversing with her that she has done a great job of training the inmutants for generations. she is either mostly kree or at least half which is why skye accepted the kree blood so easily compared to a full human like coulson.

It's hilarious that you came to the right conclusion from the wrong reasons. That scene with Daisy's mom training Gordon happened before Whitehall butchered her, which is why she didn't have all those scars from being put back together.

I don't think he'll be revealed have some nefarious plan going on in the background. His agenda is pretty clear: His wife got killed by powereds, so now doesn't trust them and wants them all dealt with. That's a large part of the reason he wants to take SHIELD away from Coulson. Coulson works with powereds, thereforeheis the one who is misguided. (He also seems to view Coulson as falling somewhere on the powered spectrum due to the alien writing.)
Whether or not he becomes a villain will likely come down to the lengths he'll go to achieve his objective. He'll either be bad in the same sense that Iron Man will be during Civil War or he could go full William Stryker.

2 things, she is not human and has lived for hundreds maybe thousands of years, that makes her a near immortal. also they would not brought that actress back for just that one scene. so i knew we would be seeing her more, plus its more drama fodder that she meets up with hyde and daisy

That's pretty much impossible, May is a weapons expert, she probably has handled everything under the sun, also i don't know much about guns but from movies isn't the 1911 like the standard pistol everyone would learn? then move on to whatever 92B's or glock shits.
And also Adama would know that she would know, why? cuz May is one of the most lethal agents in SHIELD by reputation alone, they even said she has more black belts than BW, this stupid parlor trick, "heres a loaded gun, shoot me already" wouldn't work on someone like May, unless it's just to see how much she'd lie.
Maybe it's just horrible writing all around, the Skye scenes were unbearable to watch.
Craig Titley wrote this episode and he has such esteemed credits as Scooby Doo, see spot run and cheaper by the dozen.
Could it be she couldn't be sure the gun wasn't loaded with blanks, but could see otherwise when Adama popped the round out of the chamber? I dunno, I had the same thought about May, when I watched the episode, but it was easy enough to look past on a solid episode.

You're going to run into problems with episodes like this one, which is basically just filler. We're on short time before Ultron and they just flipped everything on its head so there was bound to be at least one, if not two episodes of set up.
Can't wait until Friday. One of my questions regarding the Defenders is how much they'll cross over into the MCU/AoS stuff, if at all.

Don't expect more than some sideways nods to stuff in the movies. I am pretty sure they said that although it's part of the MCU they also want to focus on the characters stories and not have them play off the other events too much. The street level hero stuff isn't going to mesh with too much outside of Agents of Shield, at least til we get to the Defenders series.
FYI Coulson forms the Defenders. Also AoS and All the netflix shows have the possibility to share characters with the first one being Absorbing Man.
