what do we think the files Fitz showed Gemma are?
rrr_img_114441.jpg

looks like it's all personal research Fitz did (from the yourfolder location), since Gemma probably got all the officially logged research that she has been getting from Mockingbird.

Do we think she told Mockingbird the whole story too? like they are girlfriends and all and she's involved w/ Hunter and also i guess has access to all SHIELD lab stuff now. (cuz b4 Skyae was her BFF, but you know, she's busy trying to imprison her own kind)

also planet probably doesn't have magical healing dirt, instead she put that dirt on herself to coverup/hide her wound since "the thing" is attracted to blood.

Where the hell did she get wood for the spear and fire?

Edit, oh. there is inexplicable bamboo and logs stuck in the ground near her...

Really disappointed with this episode...they have this great story arc of her being teleported to a different planet and instead of showing how smart and capable she is they turn it into some stupid love triangle. FFS shes in a different solar system and yet finds some one who will take care of her and help her survive and of course she has to fall in love with him. Bleh stupid

that was mostly interesting, though i preferred the fan crafted "time is different over there" theory better than the "i spent 6 months hugging up with an astronaut who had unlimited resources " route they went with. ya know when they say you can only last 100 hours without water, it doesnt mean that you can run around a planet for 99 hours then collapse on hour 100. oh and if fitz can develop a cell phone battery that runs for 6 months as no big thing, then he is making some really bad career choices.

The important info I gathered from that is that Dr. Simmons has a problem with her menstruations...

More seriously, that was a good episode even if it required a good deal of suspension of disbelief.

I kept holding out for him to be a hallucination brought on after she fell and found the old NASA gear.

We already know what happens - death can look like anyone.

We've rescued Will! Cut to Will's corpse half buried in sand.

Dammit, now that you've said it, I can't deny that is incredibly likely.
Is this so that Fitz can move on and Emma really banged a alien version of the smoke monster from lost? I mean this NASA guy looks pretty young, late 20s, hell some angles he could almost pass for Ward w/ that neckbeard, when he really should look like someone in their early 40s.

I mean hell, i have asian genetics and only 36, i have to dye my hair to keep up w/ the joneses.

This guy should be at least a bit salt and peppery instead of like the perfect Rogaine hair model.

This is assuming NASA would send an experienced guy through, with a minimum age of 25. Hell here's a quote
"There are no age restrictions for the NASA Astronaut Corps. Astronaut candidates have ranged between the ages of 26 and 46, with the average age being 34."

if you wanna send your average experienced 35ish guy through a fucking teleporter, then this guy shoulda be shown as 50 by the time Simmons meets him.

Both of their clothes are in remarkably good condition for how long they'd been roughing it btw.
Just another bullet on the 'suspension of disbelief' list.

Fuck it, let's just make the list
  • Condition on clothes
  • Cell phone battery that lasts 6 months
  • Bamboo / Wood, but no trees
  • PhD in Biology and Chemistry (PBC), knows things a medical doctor would know
  • PBC, but can figure out how to power the 15 year old NASA equipment from cell phone battery
  • PBC, but can't figure out how to build a generator
Anything else?

I mean, I enjoyed the episode on the surface, but it really did need a lot of liberties regarding suspension of disbelief.

Regarding the cell phone battery, she said Fitz modified to last a long time at some point. That plus I assume she just shuts the phone down whenever she is not using it. I really doubt it stayed on the 6 months.
