This is the last current show that I get around to watching each week so its on the bubble formerly occupied by Sleep Hollow. Which I dumped because it was dull and they only knew one joke.

So a half alien girl nicknamed "Skye" with so far unknown powers....Joss Whedon created the half alien SWORD (SHIELD subdivision concerning themselves about extraterrestrial threats) agent Abigail Brand in Astonishing Xmen. I cannot link the green hair, but could those 2 be connected? With Guardians of the Galaxy around the corner, and the alien threat in Avengers...Maybe they are steering Skye in that direction?

Also cool they namedropped Bucky Barnes when they are at the memorial wall.

abigale is listed as a mutant/alien hybrid (i think the green hair is the alien part, and why she was attracted to beast and her powers are mutant). since she's mutant her version won't exist in MCU.

Aren't her powers part of the alien heritage too? Wich makes her not a mutant i believe. Shield has strong rules about employing mutants, i believe the only one on shields payroll is dazzler nowadays. Shield HATES mutants, except when they need them, 90% of the time it's Wolverine they need to clean up the mess. In the comics, shield even deployed sentinels against the Xmen not too long ago.

Next to that, even if Brandt is a mutant, they can easily rewrite it, it's not a MAJOR retcon.

well they can't rewrite her, cuz of that whole "fox owns all mutants" kind of thing, she's also not part of SHIELD, brant is part of SWORD, which is like shield but deals with aliens and alien threats, they employ all kinds of aliens, so it's not like SWORD has any pre-judices. heck i think when she was banging beast he was a part of SWORD also.

deathlok is cool, finally a non D-grade character and there hasn't been anything about Deathlok in the MCU. they've really weirded up deathlok in 616 and took out deathlok's personality at least the personality "black" deathlok had, the one from the 90's.

The new female guest star mentioned in the spoiler above sounds great, and is someone I've always been interested in from the comics. Hopefully her daughter shows up in the show or movies eventually too. The actress they got to play her looks like a great fit, physically at least.

Not going to talk about tonight's show till after the west coast sees it.

I will say March freaking 4th till the next new episode?

I guess the new stuff with Bill Paxton (Agent Garrison) and Jaimie Alexander (Sif) will lead straight into the Captain America pre-movie and post movie tie ins. Which I hope is good too.
