I desperately want to be wrong here, but I think this is finally the Padres year. The way they have been playing since the All star break is pretty impressive.

I think they beat the Yankees in the WS

I always got the feeling last year that Cleveland's FO wanted a younger manager that went with stats more than Tito and they worked out a mutually beneficial way for him to leave town

Yeah that and honestly the Royals were the ones that had me guessing. I live in Philly and some of my friends that are big fans are down on the team this year - but they are doomers anyway, but that probably got in my head a little with that call. The Phils are getting kinda old, if they don't win it this year they might have to go through a mini-rebuild to revamp their pitching

Dodgers really need to hope they don't have a repeat of last year, where they just decided to not hit at all against the Padres. We already know their pitching is questionable, but they are starting their 2 "best" starters in the first 2 games against the Padres.
