A lot of fans who pick their favorite fighters then lie to themselves afterwards about how well they'll do.

Think of it as a kind of MMA Politics. People who didn't like Colby but liked Tyron weren't going to consider recent performances. They weren't looking to talk themselves out of picking Tyron, LOL. So they lie to themselves that this could be where he turns things around. They'll tell themselves that Colby isn't as good as people say he is, and that Tyron is going to knock him out.

I imagine those are the same people that make bookies a fuckton of money, too.

It'll be good to have Tyron gone. He didn't fight frequently enough to stay at the top. And people have figured Tyron out. He might be able to eke out another win against someone who fights stupid, but we've now had 3 fights in a row where he was fucking dismantled. Woodley needs people to make themselves vulnerable stepping in, so he can blast them with his right, except who the fuck is going to keep doing that now that they've seen other people pick him apart? And the dude got super lucky with his opponents for years. There's something to be said for matchmaking, and I'm honestly surprised he made it as far as he did as champion. I don't see him ever regaining the title (LOL!) and best I could see him do is float low in the rankings and be a gatekeeper...except Burns was ranked #7 I think, and he fucking embarrassed him...so yeah. He needs to fucking retire.

I kind of expect him to go safe against Costa, at least for a round or two. He's a smart fighter. He's gonna try and Anderson it, avoid most shots and try a couple of flashy things per round hoping something connects.
