I'm watching last night's TUF.....Urijah Faber is definitely fucking Jojo, right?
2x UFC on Saturday. Early day Stockholm card on fight pass and later card on Fox Sports 1. Neither card is stacked, but my boy covers the main events here.

Mainly posted because he includes a gif of one of my favorite kicks of all time, Glaube Feitosa's Brazilian kick on Semmy Schilt.
Look how that thing starts outside(inside?) his checking leg and loops right over the really high check of a 6'11" opponent to come DOWN on his face. Awesome.
There are a few interesting fights aside from those. Cruikshank vs. Njokuani should be fireworks on the Fox card. And the Stockholm card is loaded with all those interesting Nordic guys like Ilir Latifi, Nik Backstrom, and Magnus Cedenblad. Plus Max Holloway who seems to be in mostly action-packed fights.

Ronda isn't the best fighter in the UFC like how Tyson or Jordan was the best at their respective sports. She has the best Judo in the UFC and is better at armbars than probably anybody in the UFC as well. So its not quite like comparing Tyson to Cristy Martin just because the skill set of MMA is so broad.

She isn't one of the 200 best fighters in the UFC, she's the best girl like Martin was and she's beating up overmatched opponents like Martin was. And she's the mostdecoratedJudoka, not the best. Flinging around a bunch of mediocre to awful fighters has nothing on Sexyama ragdolling an elite grappler like Jake Shields. And Hector Lombard also went to the Olympics, except as a man so he was fighting way way way way better competition.
It is, again, a matter of level of competition and pure physical ability.
The level of competition is so pathetic and she issoooomuch better than them it's hard to make any fair comparisons.
As for "better at armbars", that's fucking ridiculous. Every BJJ black(or purple) belt in the UFC would be armbarring the fuck out of that level of opponent with regularity. Please don't make me bring up Giva Santana again...

Good news for Josh Burkman, he's back in the UFC! Well deserved, surprised Dana didn't go all in as soon as he steamrolled Jon Fitch.
Bad news for Josh Burkman, he's fighting this guy.
Also Joe Lauzon is fighting Diego Sanchez. Diego won by split decision already by landing 16 total punches but grunting a lot and walking in to 146 of them.

Yeah, I'm just not sure how great a fight it is for Joe. Diego has really good submission defense, and the fight is in Mexico so Joe isn't getting a decision unless he really beats the shit out of Diego. And God knows Diego will be even more fired up than usual.
Still, should just about guarantee Joe extends his lead in the Most Bonuses category.

I am a bit annoyed with mma-tv.net right now. For some reason they are showing some gay show from Spike instead of the undercard fights.
Not sure how I feel about Lauzon vs Diego. Of course it will be an exciting fight, but I just hope that Lauzon crushes him into retirement. Diego's schtick and ugly mugging has really become beyond old.

edit: Can't believe Siver couldn't finish that side choke having it that tight for that long. He wasn't torquing it like you see wrestlers do where they lay out and turn to be perpendicular as much as possible. Was staying tight to his side to control position. Good defense though from Charles Rosa, whoever the fuck that is. Seems to have good BJJ. Name seems familiar but that's probably just because Charles and Rosa are both common MMA names.

This Siver v Rosa match is fucking fantastic. The greatest part is its an awesome grapplefest which I completely didn't expect from a dude in a Taekwondo stance vs Kickboxer Siver. They brought in Rosa to be sacrificed to Siver and I think Siver has taken both rounds so far, but Rosa is absolutely holding his own on less than 2 weeks notice.

I loved the delayed reaction to the kick. It hit the guy and he was almost smiling that it finally happened, then the pain set in like 3-4 seconds later and he started to double over.
Seriously fun fight.
I'm watching InsideMMA while I watch MMA. They had an actual funny bit for once. Bas and Bang Ludwig were demonstrating a bunch of combos etc, and Dominick Cruz creeps out with a notebook scribbling down notes. "I'm just watching you get your blackbelt...". Pretty funny.
Then Kenny Rice fucks it all up with his hamfisted fuckery.
"He doesn't have any interest in TJ Dillashaw! Why is he writing notes down?"
Thanks Kenny, thanks for explaining the entire fucking joke instead of just letting it be funny.
I fucking hate Kenny Rice.
edit: Cruz is actually a pretty funny guy. When they were talking about his fight earlier he joked "And before I couldn't finish a Mountain Dew, everyone knew that."
I was pretty ambivalent about him before, but it's hard not to root for him now with the comeback and him being likable. Hopefully the in-cage performance stays up.

Now I'm watching last night's Bellator along with the UFC and saw the same kind of thing. Guy just knocked Rob Emerson on his ass, rocked him. Then jumped on top of him and made no effort to even create space, much less land a decent shot. Basically just gave him a few minutes to recover til the ref stood it up.
