Omg...did anyone watch that Tito vs Bonnar Countdown last night on Spike? Worth a laugh if you are into terribly scripted sit-downs with knock-off Joe Rogan at a random table with Tito and Bonnar trying to put on a serious but angry and edgy front while sitting AC Slater style in backwards turned chairs with Bar Rescue relaunch lighting.

No, no I did not.

I've actually mildly enjoyed Bonnar's goofy selling of the fight, he's a pretty funny guy and I'm still upset the UFC hasn't found a way to give him and Forrest a sit down show together as a regular feature. They did the one thing with them at a table goofing around, they should really make that a monthly thing with them sitting down and tag team interviewing someone.

edit: Jojo rules.

It's a cool sequence technically, though, and leg-in triangles do happen on rare occasion. Here's Cobrinha getting tapped by one in competition from 2007.

Edit: Embed not working fully. Go to 4:40.
I dunno, all I saw was some little dude working his ass off and finally getting caught.

Heh, come on I know we were all pulling for the big guy but deep down we all thought Werdum would win. And you really have to give him all the credit in the world for how insanely fast his striking has improved in the last 3-4 years. He's been working on it for a while but something really clicked in the last couple years.

Kelvin Gastellum is sort of quietly becoming a serious contender. He's going to be really awesome to watch developing over the next few years.

Hugewin for Lamas. Bermudes was looking like a real title challenger and there was talk that Lamas was a kind of pretender.

Yeah, that Chandler/Brooks ending was bizarre. Chandler was completely out of it. And big props to Brooks for throwing that hard a punch from his knees.

Bonnar and Ortiz fought tonight as well.

edit: Watched some of WSOF. Justin Gaethje needs to be in the UFC already. He kicked Melvin Guillard's leg to bits for 3 rounds, a a catch-weight because Melvin missed weight.

The only shaky fight he's had in the UFC was the final against Uriah Hall which he still won (and deservedly so). He was the underdog in every fight in the house and he won them all impressively and has only looked better and better since TUF, especially now that he's fighting at 170 instead of 185. Dude's a beast and I hope he'll be around for a long time.
