So people here think GSP could beat Cain, Silva, and Fedor? Delusional imo.

i cant believe how much backlash or discredit Silva is getting. i dont know how to rank them but all these people now saying he isnt near being a GOAT are fucking retards. i dont like Silva but this doesnt tarnish anything hes done imo

I think every single person who is in contention for GOAT used banned substances at one point or another in their competition, and likely used it during their prime that we're using to compare them to each other with.

That includes GSP, A. Silva, JJ, Fedor.

i remember everyone being positive about gsp doping because of puffy nips and what not. i do agree about all using substances at some point. Silva is a shock but after injury like that im sure most would. hell machida might be one of the few that doesnt dope but i wouldnt be shocked

The only high profile person I'll believe didn't dope would be Cro Cop, because of the way his streak of dominant performances ended so abruptly. My guess is that he couldn't keep his body performing at that level for so long without chemical assistance. It's possible he may resort to doping for his return to the UFC since he really doesn't want to lose to Gonzaga again, but I have no trouble believing he spent most of his career clean.

Shrug, i don't do pound for pound in the greatest of all time talks.

You could be the greatest welterweight of all time, and best p4p, but not tGoaT.

Also, greatest career =/= tGoaT. But whatever, that's just how ilook at it.

I think there is little reason to think that Crocop wasn't using steroids in Pride.

CC wasn't the hardest kicker in human history, but man I doubt we'll ever see another kickboxer in MMA with the reputation for leveling people with a LHK.

There's not much value in arguing whether a given fighter who hasn't been popped is using banned substances. Even when you focus in on GSP's puffy nips and hgh gut.

no homo, it doesn't have much value. I just feel like when fans react with such surprise that a given world-class athlete gets popped for banned substances that they are naive.

crocop not doping would be very weird. Out of all current champs who isnt doping?

First he'd superman punch Cain, breaking his nose and blinding him temporarily while simultaneously checking Anderson's leg kick which snaps his shin in half. He then pulls out a .45 and shoots both Cain and Fedor in the head.

It's not so much that I think all the current champs are doping. It's that I think it's likely and just assume they are and am not surprised when they get busted. Anytime I hear of a pro-athlete coming out and giving a % of people in his sport that are using it's like 80%.

Only ones I wouldn't know about is the women because I don't know how hard it is to avoid looking like you're abusing steroids as a female. To me, Ronda Rousey looks extremely strong but she doesn't have the masculine jawline and features that you see on Cris Cyborg.

I just can't imagine competing at that elite level of sports and not doping. Just the thought of how much better you could be and having that slight edge would be enough to tempt any athlete.

Yeah she competed at 154lbs sometimes, definitely not her 'natural' weight class in MMA terms. I wonder why she chose that instead of staying near 135.

I think the lesson is there is no GOAT - it's all paper, scissors, stones

Who's the best Anderson fought? Basically Weidman? we all saw how that looked ... It's been a weak division with a cartoon prince ... possibly on PEDs. Who got schooled in Pride. The one where he really got whooped was Daiju Takasi - guy has something like a 1:2 loss ratio fighting cans in Okayama car parks ... Basically wrestles a helpless Anderson into a triangle choke like a low budget sub/dom porno

Fedor - looks good beating one after another, but his most impressive career win was against who? Crocop ... Wilted as soon as he faced real contenders - and who knows what drugs they were on in Japan? ... Jones is so far untouchable

The GOAT discussion in MMA is more like a pageant.. Which fighter did you like the most? Fedor? silva? gsp? then you argue that they are the GOAT
