Looking at the video, you can tell Conor is a smart fighter. Make them think you are the fool, and by the time they realize you aren't it's over.

If I was Aldo's camp I would not sleep on this guy. He has tendencies, just have to exploit them.

Very impressed by Conor tho.

So how hurt is Aldo right now? why don't they just build this up as the next fight. Why risk getting Conor hurt in the meantime. I'm sure people will wait 6 months to see Aldo vs Conor now.

McGregor-Aldo would be a massive fight, I don't see how White & the Fertitta brothers would be that stupid to risk it. Then again, nothing surprises me now in combat sports.

Yeah one risk on McGregor losing is bad enough, no way they'll take another one. Conor's next fight will be Aldo even if it takes a life-age for Aldo to stay healthy.

I find it odd that they made such a huge deal about the uniforms, so it would look more professional, yet still have a TON of sponsors all over the Octagon. I mean I understand they are totally different, but it seems weird to me for some reason.

This was my favorite card sinceUFC 178. The bar I was at was electric. Rowdy crowds, people yelling at the TV's, the place would erupt whenever there was a stoppage... pretty awesome, just like the old days when Chuck Liddel or Brock Lesner was fighting.

I was rooting for Conor, but the only thing that irked me a bit was the Mendes stoppage. Even when the shot landed, he covered and defended himself immediately, and the fact there was only 3 seconds left in the round. I'm not claiming conspiracy, but I am sure Herb went into the fight with the mindset, "if Connor gives any excuse to stop the fight, take it." If Mendes isn't upset about it, I guess I won't be either.

Turtling up isn't 'intelligently defending yourself'', and Mendes obviously knew he was beaten from the moment he let Conor back off the ground.
