As someone who works with Indians constantly, his accent is easy mode. It’s a non event, but he’s easy to understand, and obviously super physically fit, probably the best person you can ask for to help in an emergency escape scenario.

“On Jan. 11, 2025, as flight 4401 from Las Vegas to San Francisco was preparing for departure, a flight attendant initiated the customary briefing for exit row passengers. Customer Khabib Nurmagomedov, who was seated in an exit row, was asked multiple times if he was willing and able to assist in the event of an emergency,” the company said. “According to the flight attendant, Mr. Nurmagomedov did not respond, despite repeated attempts, which placed him in non-compliance with FAA requirements. The flight attendant informed Mr. Nurmagomedov that he could be moved to a different upgraded seat or exit the plane.

“Videos circulating on social media platforms do not capture this interaction, and instead show a subsequent interaction after a gate agent entered the plane and reiterated the option to be reseated. As a result of the customer’s initial unresponsiveness and repeated declinations of a seat change, he was asked to deplane per airline and FAA policy. The decision to deplane the customer was in no way related to his ethnicity and we have refunded him and his traveling companions for their flights.”

Of course they are? Are you just blind to the way the legal system in this country interacts with anyone who isn't white when it comes to lawsuits? It's the same reason a company can't fire a jogger without 375878904888488484 warnings even if the jogger decides to stab a couple employees every day, because the courts will say "but muh discrimination" and fine the company $72 trillion.

Clay Guida's career is kind of hilarious. Look at some of the guys he beat:
  • Josh Thomson
  • Nate Diaz
  • Rafael Dos Anjos
  • Takanori Gomi
  • Anthony Pettis
  • Joe Lauzon
  • BJ Penn
  • Michael Johnson
His fight with Diego Sanchez at the TUF finally will always be one of the all timers. He hung on way too long, but his fights were always fun and always a brawl.

I think clay is underrated because he is just so goofy. Like people remember him for his 10/10 burps between rounds then his actual fights.

Dana and the UFC better give Dariush his full win-purse for yanking his fight from him. Total bullshit when they do stuff like this.

reddit has a post saying dana said he will take care of him, but no links and i couldn't find anything. supposedly his disclosed pay is $350k, $100k win, $21k sponsor.
