check out this vid for thoughts. I see many recommendations to turn it off so I did when I started and now I have it on all the time since I gun lance.
and on the topic of gun lance, it's really op tuned. esp that qumatrice one u craft super early on that really makes no sense in progression. plus another easy to get armor evade extender armor set makes things kinda trivial. I am abit confused with this whole unbalance experience coming from some hammer time which is nothing but hardship and shit took forever to die to just caution the glaring disparity in weapon experiences.

Rey Dau -almost- got me, I was just inside its nuke radius, lol. Clenched for a moment. The Story is really messing with my ocd though, and now there are some armors that have materials locked behind Story progress, which is really odd since I've killed the monsters and made two pieces of each.
So far, the Uth Duna fight has been the best overall. Really liked the setting. Seeing the ruins of some ancient (like modern to us) civilization was a nice touch. I really, really disliked the Nercyslla(?) fight, dunno what it was, but it took forever to kill that mob, if I fight it again I'll capture it.
5800x3D and 3080ti here: run in 1080 Samsung QLED upscaling , high preset, ray tracing on high. Runs fine. 4k high preset, no ray tracing about the same. Benchmark tool predicted correctly.
or I could be getting old and not noticing the differences.

Is it me or low rank is too easy? I do realize it’s low rank but I have yet to cart on any mob and barely used any health potions during my battles. Granted I haven’t gotten to Rey Dau yet so that may change but everything so far is 1 shot for me. I remember World low rank monsters being much harder. Maybe since I have years of experience in Monster Hunter it’s easier for me opposed to someone with no experience.
Other than that charge blade is cracked in this game. The damage is too good especially when you’re doing the element buzzsaw attack. It appears that SAED is not the biggest damage and gotta focus more on the element buzzsaw attack.

Think I've settled on SNS for the rest of my playthrough and will ignore my beloved hammer until I am bored.
I played naked through chapter 2 to help add a sense of danger from getting hit or fucking up my guards, but stuff has really low HP if you're laying into them they just fall over, but idc get me to master rank asap.

I have same proc, with a 3080ti. It runs like shit. I'm getting about 45-60 FPS@3440x1440.

Still unlocking more monsters post main story and looks like it goes to chap 6. Think half of my hours were cut scenes and they keep on coming <_<.

After the benchmark and being slightly optimistic, I’m pretty disappointed in performance with my 12700k and 3080ti. 60 fps is definitely top end and that’s rare. Even turned Ray Tracing completely off, shadows to mid, DLSS to performance, swapped to 310.1.2, and a couple other things. It isn’t the absolute worst, but it is noticeable going from 80+ in something like Lies of P that I’ve been playing on the side.
