Yeah they're just designed I think so you get end rewards + friends can join you easily while you're hunting in the field.

Yep its my one gripe about the game. I swear its even worse in this because I have to click a submenu to look at the skills, and only the skill of the weapon/armor I have selected. Fucking horrible Japanese UI design per usual.

Yep, pretty handy. I've been saving all the Gem quests, and some Tempered to do later after I'm done with all the Chapters.
Edit: Death Stench is in the game, and it enables boob jiggle for females, lol.

Wut, wut? If you have a female character, and get the material for Death Stench armor, you'll see that boob physics are present, but only for that armor set (afaik). Wilds is also the first MH game (maybe?) to allow females to have large boobs.

Can’t disagree with you. It seems like a pretty big step back from World and the other MH. Previously I just looked at a screen with Bag | Box, and moved stuff to refill. Now there’s a box, a Seikret pack, my pack, stacked items, reorder items, show some, show all. I can sort some screens and lists but not others. Some things go to my pack auto if I’m full but others don’t? Didn’t see exactly what happened earlier with that one.

Doesn't work with all monsters but anything low to the ground like Nu Udra etc:
Lance running attack, with burst/flayer etc you just spin up like a gattling gun making and breaking wounds. Marathon runner and some constitution will get you started. It is so ridiculous.

HR 64 or so, fully upgraded my sns artian weapon (changes the appearance in a neat way), and almost fully upgraded my t8 arkveld armor to farm with. Wife gets induced tomorrow, so shelving for a few days, but looking forward to farming up a new weapon/armor set when we're done.

Enjoying this and will probably hit HR 100 by tomorrow if it keeps giving the amount of juice post hunt, but I'm ready for that difficulty update. Everything do be melting real fast and it feels too early in my playtime to be farming out armor sets for layering.
Also no weapon layering is balls unless it's much later, but it doesn't seem like it with all the other random missing content.

Charge blade feels really good this time around.
Gunlance and Charge blade both benefit heavily from destroying wounds just as a natural course of using them rather than having to actually target them for any reason. The side step slash on Charge Blade makes it feel way more natural to fight monsters.

Gunlance is a ton of fun, but I struggled with it some on the HR 20 quest. Swapped back to my old trusty HH and had my way with that quest. Really like how mobile the horn is, and pounding a monster repeatedly in the head is just super satisfying.
Will go back to Gunlance for sure. Still getting the hang of the weapon. I think I struggled in HR with it because I'm just greedy going for multi stakes and fast wyvern fire all the time. Get trucked trying to force that combo into openings where it doesn't belong. Finally have a better grasp on the movement. Hitting roll with no directional input for the backward hop is very useful, just feels unnatural. Took some time to condition myself on that.
Game is a lot of fun, up to HR 30.

I used FSR Frame Gen in the Beta client and it did help with fps, but it also made the game look worse.

When you're looking at the Environment Overview, it will have banners telling you some NPC wants to talk, and "Quest available", which is an optional quest you have in your quest log. This is different than making a Field Survey or Investigation for any of the listed mobs.
