They just did a patch for the lag in 100+ player night harbor. Did spell blade this time, loads of fun with pals.

didnt make it out of character creation, loading into game kicked back to character screen, infinite loop

Same, had to just keep hitting it. They did the patch and it helped with login and lag - but it was still hard to play imo - not my FPS but just the delay in actions and npc locations etc.

From what little i did, the feel is there and solid. Some mean pale dudes in a tower killed my elf lady once the lag was somewhat fixed lol.

Good fun, sorry I had to bail! Archer felt pretty good but I never made it over to the vendors to see if I got any good new spells or abilities.

I'm half tempted to try bard for the big test at the end of the month. I want to see where that quest leads we found :D

Got a super late start to testing so I didn't XP at all, I explored everywhere though. I fell through the world and saw a bunch of grey-box.

These zones are so flipping massive, 20-30 minutes at least to get through some of them. The vale area will be interesting, the scale of some of these places is just kinda nuts.

None of the objects in these photos are close, they are at least 5-10 minutes away without runspeed in the salt flats and, in the case of the vale, 30~ minutes and the structures are massive, about the size of the main city.

Salt Flats:

I thought the change from night to day with the steam and the crystal glows changing was pretty impressive.

Vale of Zintar:

Got into the vale but appeared under-world in a dystopian hellscape:

And then my " Ooo thats pretty":

Honorable mentions:

Don't recall the zone name but...I was trying to get up to this place but never could find a path:

the zone itself reminded me of an above ground dragon necropolis:

trying to get closer, finding a bunch of paths and WIP stuff:

and finally a giant scout in the salt flats:

and a final Vale shot, I hate that I can't really give perspective but damn this place is massive, at one point I saw a giant in a t-post I wanted to walk to but died trying. The giant itself was an ant on the structure it was on:

We've added another Stress Test for this Wednesday, June 5th, between 1-5pm EDT, with the possibility of more coming as soon as this weekend. We've been working on a lot of server optimizations to address some of the stability issues we were seeing on Saturday.

I really want to play this but I couldn’t figure out the keybinds and general ui interaction. I can’t remember what Gatorade showed me.

Good timing. Just so happened to read the AoC thread this morning where MNM was mentioned, and I'm like "oh yeah, I forgot about that game."

Read the last half dozen new pages, and saw a stress test for today of all days. Guess I'll give this one a shot for a few hours today.

Was watching that overview video posted last month and there was a spot with them sitting in the dark and it had the spell sound effects and I'm sold. My earliest memory of EQ was sitting on orc hill in Kith, not being able to see shit, but those spell effects and sounds are burned into my memory. The fact that I still remember any of this a quarter century later is bizarre.

I never got into replaying EQ, but I did play the EZ Server emu around 2010 a lot. Myself and some guy who played with his wife were the highest levels on the server for a while and would help the developer test out the highest level zones. But otherwise haven't played it.

Pretty crazy how sounds make us so nostalgic. Nevergrind Online uses a lot of the EQ sound effects and it’s so nostalgic to hear them.
