Things that suggest MM2/a non standard set in 2015 :
1. Modern Masters was only released in English. Many significant Modern cards have never been printed in Chinese/Russian/Korean/Portugese/Japanese not to mention Spanish/German/French/Italian not getting MM.
2. Wizards are ramping up their promotion of non Standard formats. They make no money out of that unless they print cards that can be played in non Standard.
3. Second set in current block has been moved from March to January. Third set has been moved from May to March. More than one effect with this :
i) This years financial results (2014/15) are going to be up an extra set. This will put significant financial pressure on the following year (2015/2016).
ii) There is presently only one core set and one block set (Blood) scheduled for the nine month period from March 2015 to Christmas 2015.
iii) There is presently only one core set and two block sets (Blood and Sweat) scheduled to release in the financial year 2015/16, whereas one core set and four block sets (JOU, KTK, Fate Reforged and Louie) will release in financial year 2014/15.

When you look at the evidence above there is a significant time window May-June. May 30/31 2015 there are simultaneously 3 GPs taking place in Europe, NA and Japan. Then in June there are three Modern format GPs on successive weekends.

Of particular note is the three transcontinental GPs on the same day end May. It's been announced it's Limited and also that there will be a big special announcement about it before the end of this year. Helene Bergeot : "We're trying something different and we want to make sure that it's on everybodys radar". "Put that date in your diaries because there is going to be something awesome".

The weight of evidence is enough for me to believe that a significant non Standard product will ship in 2015 and that it's likely to be MM2, to the extent that I am planning for it financially. I believe that the print run will be larger than MM and that we will see 'Modern Limited' at both PT/GPs and FNM. It may not be called MM2 and it may feature a higher percentage of new cards. Of course none of that may be the case, but that's what this branch of the hobby is about - speculating.
