Thoughts?
Modern Masters did what it was supposed to do. I mean Goyfs and stuff are still pretty pricey, but they might be a good bit more now without the reprints. Also a lot of decent stuff that used to be 15-20 dollars is now like 5 dollars or whatever. Chalice, Explosives etc. Plus it was a sweet limited format.

It would have been a sweet limited format at 7 dollars a pack. At 12-15 dollars a pack, it was not a very accessible limited format.

So if I'm sitting on 4 original Mox Opals, should I try to sell them now? What is the downside of selling vs holding? I don't play Magic anymore so this would just be a value proposition.

It's going to be a Mythic in a set that's 10 dollars a pack. The price won't move much, but it's not going to go up either, so you could sell them. If you don't play anymore, you might as well sell ALL your modern legal cards, since they're all up for being reprinted within the next 2 years.

Ok, spoiler season has started.. let's get this thread back to the front page.
Fate Reforged Spoiler | MythicSpoiler.com

So far, the highlights to me look like Monastery Mentor, Sorcerer of the Hunt (might be a bad translation, the 4/2 guy w/ haste for 3R that pumps dudes and can draw cards), Soulfire Grand Master, Jeskai Infiltrator, Kolaghan (R/B dragon), Flamerush Rider, Whisperwood Elemental, and.. of course, Ugin.

Most of the good cards are in Jeskai colors so far.

Set has a lot of cards that seem like they could instantly be considered for inclusion in some decklists. I do question using manifest alongside morph, but I think it seems like a decent enough mechanic. Will probably like it a lot more than morph... But not a high bar, since I have ever only liked 1 morph card - exalted angel and I hate morph in limited.

Manifested cards are Colorless for that Ghostfire Blade yo.

Continuing to push that terrible card until it shows up as a 1x in some awful 4-0 Standard MTGO Daily deck.

Bunch of things that make tokens better, and a few cards that only look good if tokens is really good (like the Archfiend of Depravity).

Oh, magic still exists. I forgot.

(Still salty from receiving the world's most unplayable sealed pool for the main event Khan's limited champs on MTGO.)

P1P1 Ghostfire Blade guarantees a fun draft for you and lots of time in between rounds.

From the previews, the delve time walk is a pretty obvious card for them to create but UUU means good luck finding the deck that wants/needs it.

Archfiend of Depravity will likely find its way into my Sidisi whip list with all these token shenanigans.

I also expect Doomwake Giant to cost even more on MTGO.

The flying hexproof 3/7 legendary dragon is an obvious anti-token staple for dimir or even sidisi. Can't wait to kill off hornets with it.

oooo, I hadn't thought about that. Good point.

I was just excited I could have a hard to kill, evasion, quasi-board clearer that could survive black's new wrath. Dimir hype intensifies.
