Wow, that dude WTFPWNED that challenge. Although, surprisingly, he lost about the same amount of weight as most "contestants".

This might be the best couple ever on the show. It's too bad the woman got sick because she was pretty good in her own right. Seemed like these guys had actually prepared for the challenge with research and practice at important stuff. I know if I was going on this show I would spend a ton of time walking around barefoot and making fire in adverse conditions.

The smoker was awesome BTW.

I was a little put off by her constant "let's bag an alligator" crap. I get it, she thought she was a badass alligator hunter, but the dude was right, you don't just wander into their territory (with low visibility no less) and figure you'll just Crocodile Dundee that shit. I was honestly hoping she'd get a foot bitten off for being such a dumbass.

it aggravated me because she wanted him to take the risk while she "helped". battle buddy my ass. that footage where they showed her wrangling a gator looked like she had a bunch of men there helping and they were experts. this guy is from maine and never saw a gator in his life and she was calling him a pussy for not jumping blindly into that gator lair. yeah, she sort of got what she deserved for being a dick about that. ootherwise they worked great together. who brought the machete and who brought the ferro rod?

I'm wondering if they just decided to dispense with the item choices since machete and fire starter are the only reasonable choices.

lul. She went to a gator farm and wrassled some tame alligators while the trainers stood there and held them. And then decided she was joe dirt.

I'm watching the Everglades ep and I'm enjoying watching them actually survive by finding food and hunting compared to the episodes where they just drama and starve for two weeks.

This episode kind of turned around at the end. Really kind of seemed like we saw a 38 year old woman with a teenage daughter become an adult. Seemed like these two found way less food than last week. It's really pretty interesting how much difference just getting a little bit of food makes.

Also, is a pot now provided along with the fire starter and machete?

yeah, i saw that pot and was like uh what? i think they didnt have a machete and instead had the ferro rod and the striker and the pot. dunno who picked the po.

They did have a machete as well. They didn't show the pot last week but there was no issue with getting water either so my conspiracy theory is that they have done away with the item choosing and everyone gets a fire starter, machete, and pot this season.

I noticed the multiple "luxury" items too, and the lack of discussion about them, and assumed they are just giving them a couple automatically now too.

Wasn't very invested in this one, and I'd have probably had to punch her in the face about night 5, but overall it was about average. Biggest thing I noticed was how much makeup helped her, because she was fairly attractive in the before and after scenes, but I wouldn't have even looked twice on Day 1.

Haters gonna hate! I get it, she's not great looking regardless, but hey, I didn't think she looked all that terrible with the makeup. Not anyone I'd get excited over, but not bad.
