He exaggerates contact because when he doesn't he doesn't get the call. Also the entire NBA flops, get over it. Tonight is a prime example though. He gets fouled at least 3x on that play, including across the bridge of the nose, resulting in a downpour of blood and because he finishes the play there is no call. It's crazy. Anyone else and that's a flagrant 1 at a minimum.

As soon as you get over him being a crying bitch I'll get over him not getting calls because he flops so much that even soccer players shake their head at him.

So how about that much more exciting Rockets-Warriors game? Stop Harden. Stop the Rockets.

I would not read too much into a match where Durant shot that poorly (and he was not made to shoot poorly because of some great defense: the guy missed a number of open shots of his choosing) and where the Thunder turned the ball over that much (probably because of Westbrook's return). I suspect the team without Westbrook would have been more competitive (Durant's cold hand aside), but it would also not have been of much learning value considering an OKC vs Heat final would be played with Westbrook.

It might cost Durant his MVP title though.

I'd say so. He was slightly ahead of Lebron for MVP IMO up until this game. But after tonight I'd put Lebron slightly ahead.

What I love about Lebron, is that he is rarely out of place on defense. If he is out of place, he has the crazy quickness/height/strength to make up for it in any location on the court.

After tonight's game, all Lebron needs to do is stay in cruise control, throw some dunks off gym walls, and the media will do the rest for his MVP title.

Pretty tame trade deadline. As ace as Indiana's scouting has been I'm not sure what they see in Turner. I would have held on to Granger for this year's run, personally.

Granger, who was never known for his speed, has no lateral movement left. He has also been shooting poorly since his return. Obviously we weren't going to resign him and turner is a RFA, which gives us protection if Lance bolts next year. While I worry that we won't have a big wing to put on Lebron, I see this as a good opportunity to wear out the aged Wade. I doubt his knees will be able to guard Lance, then Turner. Hopefully Turner and Bynum have enough time to build chemistry with the rest of the team before the playoffs.

I agree with Brahma, but only because the sports media is one of the worst cesspools of idiots imaginable.

The Pacers have been playing like shit and PG is regressing to the mean. I think you guys have other shit to worry about. The funniest thing is you're looking so far ahead to a matchup against the Heat that I wouldn't be surprised if you guys get upset in one of the earlier rounds.

The thing is Turner really sucks.

TBH it was knee jerk that put Durant so far in the lead. Durant's numbers will go down with Westbrook back and the Heat have 29 games left and are only 1 1/2 games out of first with 17 of their last 29 at home. From the way LeBron has played his last 5 games I'd say the MVP race is far from over.

While I worry that we won't have a big wing to put on Lebron
Which is exactly what you should be worrying about. LeBron/Bosh is the key to the Heat, not Wade. Wade is icing on the cake. Especially in a 7 game series this year because we have Oden and Beasely. We're probably gonna get Big Baby Davis or Granger too (wouldn't that be ironic!)

Evan Turner is garbage. He isn't efficient, he needs the ball and a lot of shots to hit his averages and he doesn't play defense. If anything the Pacers got worse.

You're not wrong, but one game isn't going to make any difference. Durant will probably get it this year because the media likes the story of it being someone else. LeBron should have been the MVP the past 5 seasons easy, but don't compare this to the Rose situation. Durant is having a hell of a year. He absolutely carried a team that lost its second best player and his numbers are elite all around. He's having just as good of a year as LeBron and the "story" element will probably put him over the top. I think he's deserving though. 50/40/90 (essentially) with 8 boards, 5 and 1/2 assists getting to the line 10 times a game. That's a better season than Kobe ever had, and honestly one of the most efficient offensive seasons we've ever seen from a 'volume' scorer.

I won't be mad if KD wins it at all, especially after the tear he went on when Westbrook went down. I just think if the Heat get really hot to finish the year and end up the #1 seed with LeBron playing as he has been on this last road trip and KD suffers any sort of let down at all due to Westbrook that it may change the tide. It might not, I'm sure ppl get tired of voting for LeBron every year. Either of them are very deserving. I just get pissed when people say KD has surpassed LeBron. That's retarded.

You're also right in that this isn't comparable to the Rose year. That year LeBron got robbed because Rose didn't deserve it and people simply refused to vote for him over the Decision.

That is the problem with the media, though. Durant has had a better season than LeBron to this point. Actually, to the All-Star break. Since the break its been all LeBron. That certainly doesn't mean Durant has surpassed him. The media just wants to make a story out of anything they can. It is definitely a close race now, but only as far as this season is concerned. Durant still has a lot to prove before he can be considered in the same overall league as LeBron.

Also, last night was a terrible game to bring Westbrook back. I get that they want the team to have as much game time together as possible before the playoffs, but it seriously fucked with what the Thunder had going without Westbrook. Scott Brooks can continue to get fucked for playing Perkins at all against the Heat.
