If Wade is healthy you will not win that series.
Pretty much guaranteed he won't be healthy - he hasn't been for like 5 years.

It's been obvious for a while now that Westbrook is the most important piece in that team
You crazy. If it was switched and it was KD out and Westbrook having to carry the team OKC would suck balls right now. KD is averaging like 34ppg since Westbrook got injured.

Pretty much required you have to have 1 guy who can create his own shot, and KD has a pretty much unguardable fadeaway.

You're not watching that team often enough then. They go as Westbrook goes, not KD. Whether or not they are "better" if KD or Westbrook is out is irrelevant, as the team isn't doing dick with either of them out. However, Westbrook is the engine in that team and the leader and that has been obvious for a while now.

Right, and Dirk was the same way a few years ago - but he wasn't the leader of that Mavs team and they've sucked dick since they blew up their roster. Dirk was the best player by far on the 11' roster but he wasn't the guy that took that team over the edge. Its literally the exact same thing here. If OKC (who I pay $10k a year to see live) ever wins an NBA championship - KD might score the most points in the playoff run to the title, but he isn't going to lead them there - Westbrook will, or nobody will. I don't have to prove that to you monkeys, it'll prove itself.

It is true that this team needs both of these players. The implication that Westbrook does more to help the team win than Durant is quite retarded.

Them winning a title in 2011 had nothing to do with Dirk being a "leader" or not, which he definitely is the leader of the Mavs, if not the vocal one - he leads by working and practicing more than anyone in the world on his shot - his free time is spent practicing his 1-legged fade-away from every possible angle thousands of times with his coach Holger. They won a title because Cuban and Donnie finally got enough pieces supporting Dirk to win it (Carlisle, Matrix, Haywood, Kidd, and Chandler) - Chandler was the final piece because he complemented Dirk so well and allowed Dirk to just be an offensive beast in the playoffs while Chandler covered his (and really the whole team's outside Marion) defensive weaknesses. They never would of won if Dirk didn't put the team on his back and just go nuts offensively with game winners and unguardable shooting in those playoffs - that's something Westbrook doesn't have the ability to do.

KD's supporting cast isn't good enough without Westbrook, or probably even with Westbrook, to win a title against Indiana or Miami. Doesn't mean Westbrook is the one that has to "lead" them to a title - it means you need 2 Superstars (whoever they are) and another 7-8 above average guys to win a title in the last 30 years.

Only ones to really break that trend are Hakeem with the Rockets and Dirk with the Mavs (neither team had another All-star), and you could argue that their supporting cast collectively rose up above their usual level in the playoffs so that they didn't require a 2nd Superstar. Chandler definitely should have been an All-Star that season retroactively. Further proven by the fact that none of Dirk's supporting team mates that year have done shit since leaving his side outside of Chandler.

Detroit too. You don't have to go so in depth on this dude. Everyone here knows how dumb his stance is.

Wade was healthy last season and unless Oden turns it back to his college days, the Heat are worse this year. The Pacers will end up with home court as well. A healthy Wade does not scare me, Granger is back and playing well

Was he really? Pretty sure he was dealing with the same knee injury he has been for years. It may not keep him from playing, but you can't guarantee your going to get the same from him game to game.

When Wade plays he still produces at a very high level. We'll just wait and see guys. I don't want to knock the Pacers it's an awesome squad. I still just think a healthy Heat team has too much talent.

Wife just scored tickets to the Thunder/Warriors game tonight. Mid-court, twelve rows up. I'm gonna be on TV, bitches.

Warriors gotta step up their play against playoff-bound West teams.

I'm interested to see how this goes without Westbrook. The Warriors scare the shit out of me. Every time they take the floor they could score 120 points.

So my wife lied to me.

We're mid court 3 rows up, not 12.

Did I mention the tickets were free?

I'm sitting about 12 feet from JJ Adande. These are the best seats I've ever had to a sporting event.

That's badass. Gonna see Steph Curry light it up close and personal.

I got cheap seats season tickets for the Wolves. Occasionally through work or something I'm able to score really nice ones similar to what Liquid is describing. I LOVE being close enough to hear the player chatter on the court. That really adds to the experience.

The only downer is I feel like I have to control my drinking more as I can be way more vulgar in our normal seats away from children and rich people.
