Lebron is going to get his, he's the best basketball player on the planet. I cede that. You think Oden and Beasly will be a factor then call Evan Turner garbage. Take your blinders off. Turner may not be the most efficient player but we don't need him to be a volume scorer, he will bring more offense off the bench than Granger could. At this point in their careers, Turners floor is Grangers ceiling.

Playoff basketball slows down and will become more of a half court game. The pacers have not been playing inside out as of late but I have faith it will return before the playoffs. I'd cite Hibberts massive leap in scoring against the heat last year but I'm sure you'd return to your "Oden is our savior" faulty thought process. Fact is, the Heat better hope they get Davis because they have no proven players on the roster who can stop Hibbert or the corpse of Andrew Bynum. Either way, it should be an exciting matchup.

For the record, Gaige is the Heat the fan here and the one that made absurd statements like Beasley having a + impact and Oden becoming some game changer in the playoffs. I'm simply a Timberwolves fan that understands how good LeBron is (I end up doing a lot of Wade defending too). You're confused. You won't find me defending anyone that doesn't rate out well in the advanced metrics with the exception of maybe Rubio.

Turner shoots 42% and turns the ball over at an incredibly high rate. You could maybe make the argument that he's an ok defensive player (based solely on opponent statistics), but the 6ers were SO much better with him off the court that it doesn't counter balance. Now with the Pacers, less shots ,maybe less of an atrocious negative impact on the game, but you're going to have an extremely hard time convincing me that a player who shoots 42%, excels at nothing and is downright awful at ball possession has any positive impact on a team. These are the types of players that when you give minutes to them, you're actually helping the other team.

Now he's a 18/6/4 guy so someone will overpay the hell out of him, but realize that through 4 seasons he's has been a very below average player.

Granger has been pretty bad (I didn't really realize how bad) so maybe it's a wash and if post injury Granger is spent so be it, but he's got over 500 games of productive play and at the very least he can get hot from deep still. That's not even in the realm of possibility with Turner.

Durant has played great this season but Lebron is Lebron. Durant has a lot to prove before you can just say "Yeah man now they're on the same level!" They aren't. They may never be. Durant may pass him next year. Who knows. But for now.....

Totally different. Oden represents 6 fouls on Hibbert. He represents size. He represents rebounding and shot blocking. He can play alongside Bosh keeping Hibbert off Bosh and allowing Bosh to play the 4 drawing West out of the paint. There are a lot of positives from a few minutes of Oden that can't be said from a few minutes of Turner. Turner isn't going to provide much scoring off the bench unless he takes a lot of shots and he is a non-factor defensively. You'll see.

Also lol @ bringing up Bynum while simultaneously shit talking Oden. Hypocritical much?

Beasely could be a non-factor that's very true. He could also get hot in a game or two of the series and make the difference. Through their title runs we've seen the same from Miller, Allen and Battier so it's not outside the realm of possibility to think Beasely can do the same.

Oden, if he can play 18 to 25 playoff minutes will be a big fucking factor against the Pacers and it's silly to say he won't.

Fixed.

Oden's nothing more than a big body who's knees are a ticking timebomb. He's not going to disrupt any team's offense or defense and you'd have to be Gaige level delusional to believe that.

Bynum's probably the same at this point. Even though he has proven in the past he can be a beast in the NBA, I really wouldn't count on ever seeing that from him again. Has there ever been a player who stopped giving a shit, then suddenly became good again? You always hear them say they're refocused and coming back better than ever, but I'm pretty sure it's never happened.

I'd agree if this was Portland. Miami has already kept him healthy more than half a season.

He's played 10 games off and on and averaged 7.8 minutes you fucking retard.
So? How does that disprove what I said? They're taking it slow with him because they can. They need him for one fucking series that's it. They just need him healthy for if they play the Pacers. Not to mention that 8 of the 10 games he has played have been all in this month ffs.

Pacers are developing. If you believe Paul George and Lance aren't better players than they were two years ago, as well as last year, then you're clueless. The bench has also been upgraded. The Heat meanwhile have lost players and Battier, Wade and Allen certainly arent the players they were two years ago. But hey, you now have Beasly, championship move right there.

Sixers fan here, this is spot on. Turner is one of the more frustrating players I've watched, he has a ton of talent but I don't think he's ever going to put it together completely. He completely disappears if he doesn't have the ball in his hand, but he's too turnover prone to be your primary ball handler.

I don't dislike him or anything, he genuinely tries hard, but you get a lot of 4-16, 5 TO nights in between the 20-5-5 efforts.

People said that last year about Battier and Allen and look what happened. Also we still have LeBron, Bosh & Wade. Paul George is better sure but he has been dropping off a lot since the All-Star break already.

Also who have we lost? Joel Anthony lol.

Just out of curiosity...what did you do before you had ever heard of Lebron James? Or was that when you started watching basketball?

They should since they don't tend to fair too well in the playoffs.
Gaige, I just want to make sure you realize that you are the worst kind of fan. Anyone that will type the novels that you do to defend every supposed injustice or unkind word laid at the feet of your team and then type some shitty little remark like this as bait is as passive-agressive as it gets. I liked Lebron until The Decision and then still respected how he played basketball because he is amazing. After two years of reading your Heat defense thesis and then kneejerk shitposting on other teams, I now want the Heat to lose every game just so you will shut the fuck up.

Let's make one thing clear: the Heat are not a dynasty, they are a collection of great and good players that are having an amazing decade. It will end and then you will either man up and stay here when they are middle of the road playoff team or you will flee in embarassment and lurk/troll this thread much less often. Either way, it cannot come soon enough so that I can start enjoying these season long threads again.
