Bulls best record in league a few years ago. How many titles? 0.

Pacers were 7-7 this month before the refs handed them a win tonight.

PS - I doubt Pacers even make the ECF tbh.

Is there like a one week break between the end of the regular season and the play-offs or does it start immediately?

And the Heat were 7-7 this month before tonight's loss. STFU Gaige. Tonight's game had a lot of pretty bad calls - like just about every NBA game. The Heat went to the line way more than they should have.

The silliest thing about all of this is the notion thatthe fucking Heatare the one team in the league getting dicked by refs. They have fucking LeBron dude. They've won two championships in a row. Shit. Wade won one himself shooting like 25 free throws a game that finals.

There's nothing the NBA wants more than for LeBron to keep winning titles. I think NBA reffing is shitty all around but there's no conspiracy to keep James from three peating. That is just fucking ridiculous. Try being a Minnesota fan.

Jesus I'm angry all of a sudden.

Anyway, long story short, if you cherry pick bad calls against your team, while ignoring bad calls against the other team, you're going to walk away from every single game pissed off.

I couldn't wait to see this thread after the game even though I already knew Gaige would be blaming the refs. Either way it was an exciting game to watch.... P.S. Lol @ Oden stopping Hibbert

Did Gaige absorb Mippo? Normally he would only complain that the rest of the Heat are trash while Mippo blamed the refs.

I still stand by Monta Ellis sucking major goat balls regardless of the Dirk effect or whatever raising his shooting percentage from 43% to 45%. He doesn't get to the line enough and is too turnover prone.
He leads the league in drives to to the basket and points scored off them - ahead of guys like Westbrook and Harden. It's pretty much the only "shot" he takes in a game except for pulling up on the left elbow and occasional 3s (which drag his overall shooting % down). All predicated off the extra man sticking to Dirk during pick and roll and giving Ellis an easy basket with his speed. He's so wide open on most these drives (or a guy is trailing too far behind him) that they don't even bother fouling him.

He's also the Mavs assist leader (biggest surprise). He's sitting at 3 turnovers per game, which is not that high for someone who handles the ball as much as he does.

But like is said in the article, he's not a different player. Just has a Top 3 coach now and he's not the main offensive focus like he was in GS and Milwaukee, both help curb his bad shot selection (because he isn't forced to take them) and his propensity to be a black hole. If he was Dirk's sidekick his whole career his reputation would be completely different, that's what the article is trying to say - that our current NBA analytics don't take into account your teammates or environment . Same player, better surroundings.

If the Thunder got dicked by two calls in the last six minutes of a one point game that resulted in a six point swing you'd be here bitching too. While I realize bad calls happen all the time in NBA shit like that shouldn't happen because it directly affects the outcome of the game. In a tight game like that six point swings that are 100% due to missed calls are almost impossible to overcome.

That said I was more mad that LeBron had no help, which has been the case as of late. Oden garbage, Wade hurt again (shocker), Bosh garbage, Allen missing time. It's just pathetic. Oh well at least this time next year Lebron will be a Clipper heading into the playoffs as the #1 seed in the West.

Oh, and like I said, I doubt the Pacers even make the ECF. While I know the Heat have played shitty as of late we all know what they do in the playoffs - they elevate their game and win series and championships. The Pacers struggled last year just to make the ECF tbh. I don't see it any different this year with how the Bulls, Nets, and Raptors have been playing. The Pacers just lost to the Bulls. Bulls are a horrible matchup for them.

The sooner the NBA playoffs go to the best 16 teams and not just the best 8 from each conference, the sooner we will see all the EC teams exposed for how bad they actually are. How many championships would the Heat have in the last 4 years if they had to go through actual tough teams in the first 2-3 rounds?

But on Wednesday, the Heat (22) were called for more fouls than the Pacers (21) despite holding a 29-21 edge in attempts from the free throw line for the game.

Watch the game not the boxscore you fuckbag. While they shot a lot of free throws Lebron got most of them and that's because he was driving into the paint and getting fucking destroyed by Hibbert and his abuse of the verticality rule.

The Pacers also had two flagrants rescinded and got away with murder, like they usually do. I like how of all the fucking calls they missed they issued a flagrant on LeBron who supposedly intentionally elbowed Hibbert where if you watch the play you can see he is adjusting his shot to try to shoot over the idiot. Unlike Scola who wound up and just chopped at LeBron's face/shoulder.

FTs shot only tell part of the story. The real story is that Wade sucks and needs to die, Bosh needs to show up more, the NBA needs to make the correct calls and LeBron deserves a supporting cast who can A) stay healthy and B) not disappear when it matters most.

How many championships would the Heat have in the last 4 years if they had to go through actual tough teams in the first 2-3 rounds?
The same amount. They've already best everyone you guys say is the "best". OKC? Destroyed. Spurs? Beat. Bulls? Beat. Pacers? Beat two years in a row and one of them without Bosh. Celtics? Beat. They beat everyone worth beating already.

Miami has now a losing record against the Pacers and the Nets so it's a bit unfair to those teams to say the Heat overwhelmingly dominate the East.

The only record that matters is playoff record. I'll take 6-7 against the Pacers with two playoff series wins over them, thanks.

I watched the entire game except for the 3rd quarter. Maybe that's where I missed all of these egregious miscallings in the Pacers' favor? By the second quarter, even the announcers were talking shit about the officiating.

Yup. The second half, and especially the 4th quarter, is where the game was taken out of Miami's grasp due to missed calls and no calls.
