I eagerly await the 30 for 30 on this OKC team about how Westbrook jacked this team away from Durant on the way to a championship.

That was a strange game as both teams and several key players on both sides had long spells of terribad. As a result, I am not sure there is much to learn from it.

I'm getting tickets for an okc/tor match-up if both teams somehow make the Finals. It's a bit of a drive, but I'll make it work. Even if it's tor/gs I have a friend in the bay area with season tickets and I'd consider flying up there.

Haha I don't think Dunn will be shitty but I hear you. It's not the worst if we don't get the 4th pick. If we do, I want Dunn. His game vrs UNC really sold me. Dude has fire in him. I doubt the lakers will be very good next year but it really depends on free agency. If we get Ben, I wouldn't mind the sixers testing the water with LA to trade Russell for that 4th pick and maybe something else. Pipe dream probably... I wonder how much that Lou Williams thing hurt him?

Those guys played high school together and would really fill out our roster.

I just can't wait for tomorrow night. Really want #1. We can also hope a guy like Wade Baldwin falls to us later in the first, and I'd be all for them taking on a project in Thon Maker.
Yeah don't think this is very likely. Russell had a really good second half of the season and I still think has star potential written all over him. The Nick Young thing is shitty but it'll be forgotten. Would you trade Okafor and that draft pick for Russell? I certainly would, but I still don't think LA does that, but it would have to be something along those lines.

I like Wade Baldwin a lot too but I think his stock is just skyrocketing. I like him better than Dunn and Buddy and I expect he goes in the middle of the lottery.

There ends up being good players in every draft that people don't expect. That'll be the same this year, but from a pure pre draft stock standpoint, it's a really weak draft. Simmons and Ingram are both good prospects, but not at the level of Towns/Russell last year and after that, Murray and Bender are young with potential but neither are going to be stars. Total crap shoot after that.

Nah, I'm not willing to deal Oakafor for him. I'd deal Oakafor straight up for the 2nd pick in the draft tho. I'd be more inclined to work Noel into a deal. I think 4th overall and Noel is too much for Russell but that really depends on how our GM views their ceilings. This time next year will be much more interesting for the sixers b/c we should know what we have in Joel, if he can play, and looks to be what they think he can be, I think the Sixers would be a little more open to moving Oakafor, but that also depends if he makes progress on his defense. He has the ability to play good D, he just needs to want to do it. That and if anyone can play the 4 position when Noel or Embiid are out there, it's probably him. That's the biggest reason he needs to get better on D, we need that versatility in our lineup.

Wade Baldwin wasn't on many peoples radar early in the year then moved way up in the mock drafts and then fell again. He's one of the harder guys to predict on where they will be drafting. but yea, I really think he's a steal if he fell to us at 24.

NBA VP says Russell Westbrook should have been called for travel'

Between this and the multiple missed calls at the end of the games during the Spurs series, it is more than obvious that the NBA is in the tank for the Thunder this season so that they finally get their dream matchup of Durrant vs Lebron.
The missed call sucked but it didn't matter. GSW didn't deserve to win with that awful second half collapse. The Warriors don't give up 15+ point leads. It happened only once during the regular season. Sucks to lose Game 1 at home but I'm not worried.

Let me quote random internet poster 50ShadesofJimGrey: "Yes, because what corporate fat cat doesn't want all the ratings gold of media market 43 in the NBA Finals instead of market No. 6, represented by a team that has meant big ratings all year and the reigning two-time MVP?"

While I have extreme doubts the NBA would secretly plot to have OKC beat Golden State, I will say there were multiple bad calls/non calls beyond just that non call travel on Westbrook in the last 1:30. Pretty much all of them were pro OKC. Still, Golden State shouldn't have let themselves get into a situation where the refs could conceivably impact the outcome

I'm not sure I believe it, but the argument would be that the Warriors are going to be a contender and top story for years to come even if they lose to OKC. OKC is the poster child for small market teams and where the NBA goes to prove parity, and if they lose early or ugly could risk losing Durant and ruining the team/market. The NBA doesn't like the Spurs, even when they were winning (but boring) and has reasons to want the old timers to retire to free up contracts for younger talent. If there were a conspiracy--and keep in mind I don't think the NBA is competent enough to pull one off--but if there were a conspiracy by the NBA the most logical one would be getting OKC as far in the playoffs as possible this year. With teams in the playoffs competing at this level a couple calls late could make all the difference.

And yeah, the traveling call, and then the would-be dunk-put-back that was called a lose-ball foul that resulted in a turnover. Those were both pretty obvious, easy calls, during critical moments that had a huge impact on the game that went against the Warriors. Which of such calls hurt OKC?

Not a conspiracy, though, just NBA refs sucking as usual.

if the lakers get #1 pick tonight, I'll believe the NBA is fixing games and the lottery!

The thing that bothers me the most about the refs when it comes to the Warriors is how little Curry gets sent to the line. On almost every drive to the basket Curry is getting smacked in the face. Two-time MVP and he still doesn't get Harden treatment. It's like refs are disciples of Barkley and think little guys don't belong in the NBA.

Playoffs. Nobody gets fouled in the playoffs.
