Really don't like today's NBA. They need a solution to these damn super teams.

to be honest LeBron just has no help that's the problem more so then GS is a super team, games 1 and 3 have been competitive even with all that the Cavs are lacking

No real solution here if the players are willing to take substantially less to play with other superstars and chase championships.

To be honest Klay and Curry got outplayed tonight by Love and Rodney Hood. The Cavs lost because Lebron was significantly outplayed tonight at home by Durant, for the second year in a row in a must win finals game. That's it, no excuses for Lebron.

Durant had a fantastic game. Makes what Houston did all the more impressive looking back on it. Durant playing iso ball was smooth and effortless, didn't take his team out of its rhythm. He lifted the team up with a savage 43-13-7 on just 23 shots.

The box score for the Warriors is insane. Draymond scored 10, Klay scored 10 (on 4-10 shooting), Steph scored 11 (on 3-16 including 1-10 from deep), Igoudala scored 8, yet they still won. Everyone pitched in – McGee had 10, Bell had 8, Livingston had 8, and Swaggy P wisely didn't shoot a single shot.

This Finals has been more competitive than I thought. In 3 games, we've had just one blowout GS win – both game 1 and game 3 were close games and fun to watch. Game 1 went to OT, game 3 the Cavs were down by 1 with 1:57 to go.

It's insane when you consider how much everyone was raving over Lebron's 51 in Game 1 which had OT as well. Durant only scored 8 less points on 9 less shots and 4 less free throws.

Very true.

I'll chalk it up to humans liking round numbers – the same reason why a triple double gets more attention than 40, 15, and 9. LeBron's point total started with a 5, but Durant's "only" a 40-something game gets glossed over. Was Durant tonight the most efficient scoring game ever in the Finals?

I always felt there is something very mysterious with these NBA series. It's crazy how games played two or three days apart can have totally different players be super hot or super cold, stars that suddenly can't make a bucket, bench warmers that suddenly can't put a foot wrong... It feels like, for the coach, winning a game is about finding what and who is working on the night as no two games in a serie will be the same (even if the result might be the same!).

This is Lebron's fault. He started this shit. He has no one to blame but himself.

On the other hand it DOES suck and makes the NBA super noncompetitive for most of the other teams.

Even if the Celtics with KG and friends and then Lebron going to Miami hadn't happened this sort of thing was bound to happen. Having maximum individual contracts means bigtime players are going to get paid about the same wherever they end up.

My only question is does Lebron stay in the East where he can continue to sleep walk into the finals every year? Does he move to the West and risk real competition and not making the finals?

If KD were on the Cavs and LeBron were on GSW would these games even be competitive? Sorry, the answer is no. Your guys hate for LeBron has tainted your perception of reality. Also, LeBron did not start the super team era, that was KG and crew in Boston.

The Celtics will be full strengh next year I don't know about sleep walking thru the east, the Cavs are stuck with all those shitty contracts so they will have the same team.

Durant is ridiculous. From an ESPN article:

By one measure, it was far and away the most impressive game of Durant's career as he made four shots from 30 feet out or farther. In his career, Durant had never made more than one shot from 30 feet out in a game over the 896 career games he'd played in his regular season and postseason combined coming into Wednesday, according to ESPN Stats & Information research. Furthermore, the four made shots from 30 feet out by Durant were more than any team has made in a playoff game in the past 20 postseasons.

Stupid....

As we've rehashed a million times...guess it depends how we define "superteam". If we're calling that Boston team a super team, despite finishing bottom of the Eastern Conference the year before, and trading for two aging stars (giving up a ton of players/assets to do so ) from 2 teams that finished in the bottom 3 of the Western Conference the year before...then we need to call what LeBron started in Miami something else.

In 91-92 Jordan set the all time playoffs record for points at 759 over 22 games. The Bulls that year had a point differential of +136, the Warriors this year are +187. Lebron is 35 points away from breaking that record this postseason, but the Cavaliers are still an astonishing -15 over 21 games this postseason.

Whether or not the record is broken in Game 4, stat wise will this go down as the greatest losing effort in playoff history? (of any sport?)
