What dailies reward with actual astral diamonds, if any?
None of them I think, so you're hardcapped at 24k a day from refining rough AD.

Did the Idris dungeon thing, god that was tougher than the shit before, especially last fight. Didn't help our healer decided to go afk about halfway into that fight, not that he could heal jackshit anyway. Also guardian couldn't tank anything but his main target so I was kiting about 5 elite mobs around, cool shit. Sadly the damage window shit closed before I could check the scores, fucking hate that, I was wondering if everyone else was slacking or if mobs just had a lot of health. Last skirmish I did I loaded like 2mins late due to the stupid downloading files shit and my connection sucking during the evening, and I still was 200k ahead of the TR at the end.

Also seems they stealth nerfed xp% enchants, I'm only getting one now, they were stacking yesterday.

To avoid the random downloading of files, go to Options in the patcher, select Disable On Demand Patching, it'll download 2gb, and then you shouldn't have that problem anymore.

I'm enjoying it so far. Combat feels more fun than in many other MMOs. The graphics and animations definitely look a bit dated. I agree that the prices in the case shop are quite high. Personally I think they would be better off trying to sell more at lower prices instead. On the other hand, given that some games these days go with box price, subscription and/or item shop it might not be so bad after all.

How important are the stat rolls when you create your character? In Turbines D&D you obviously had to manage your character creation very carefully, so do i have to sit down until i get 18 constitution on my prot warrior or does it not matter at all?

I'm not sure how important they are but I was able to get a perfect roll several times without much time investment, so it shouldn't be a problem for you to get it

I don't think it's like traditional stat rolling. I think it only gives you a set few choices for "rolling" so if you roll 4 or 5 times I think you will cycle through all of them

Yeah, you can't really fuck it up. Not sure why you have to roll when you only have a limited amount of options. I played with it for 5 minutes because I got excited about trying to get that "perfect" roll. Bah.

I am not seeing the cash grab here. Been playing the shit out of it and never once felt like I needed to spend money. I'll probably drop a few bucks on something just as a "thanks for the entertainment" at some point, but I don't feel like I am forced to. Anyway, the foundry stuff is very awesome. Some of the stuff designed is awful, but I have done a couple that were professional grade. So much potential for endless, fun content with this. Looking forward to seeing what some of the most artistic among us can produce given time.

Also, at what level does the GWF suddenly start to suck? I am level 10 on mine atm and so far the class is a avatar of death. Easily destroying large groups at once with the AE setup I am currently using. Is the problem that they just can't match rogue dps and that is the only thing people are considering atm? I'm going to stick with him regardless of how he turns out though. Rushing to play the rogue sounds like a great way to line yourself up for some nerf frustrations in the very near future. While the GWF will likely only get better.

It sucks in the mid teens to roughly 34. Then, at 35 you become liquid death again and outdamage every other class in anything but hardline single-target encounters. Rogue's the only Pure Striker in the base set-up, you pay for your increased hardiness with decreased damage on single-target encounters.

And with sprint, which blows goats as a defensive tool.

But the game is set up intentionally such that the Rogue SHOULD beat you on single-target encounters, so I wouldn't expect to be past them on those too often, given equivalent skill/gear.

I don't see the cash shop as a grab at all. Its all optional and diamonds are fairly easy to get so eventually you'll be able to afford zen regardless. I think they are doing it wrong though.

The point of F2P is to get people to use the cash shop. You do that by making it look like its not a big purchase. "Oh, I think I'll grab that for a couple of bucks" is how it starts and next thing you know you got $30 out of people over the month.

Instead they opted to make things expensive so when people look at it they say "Fuck paying $10 for a bag".

Shit, throw "+1 Bust Size" and "-1 Waist Size" appearance "potions" on the market for $1 and you'll be mangina-rich in an hour.

except that isn't how their store is set up at all. bags cost $10. there is no "couple of bucks"

and here is an example of cash grab someone mentioned in the forums: purple chests drop that require u to buy a key (i think its like $2). you char automatically loots them when u walk over it, and u cannot drop or sell them. the only way to remove them from your inventory is to open them or put them on the auction house. keep in mind u can buy these chests from vendors. anyone test this in game?
