P.s anyone know how to craft shit?
Crafting starts at level 10, it is kind of like SWTOR's crafting. There is no quest or whatnot to pick your profession, you just open the crafting panel at level 10, pick one of the professions and start doing tasks for it. You can manage it offline from gateway.playneverwinter.com as well, which isn't that bad of a deal.

You need to be lvl 10, at which point the quest giver guy that gives you all the main story quests sends you to the crafter. Then you open the crafting menu which is N by default iirc, pick whatever you want, train the crafter, then queue up shit. It's very slow and annoying and you can basically never craft anything for yourself at all unless you play 2hours a week, since crafting is done EVE style so you can do it offline(or even from the website) so even if you don't play as long as you queue shit your crafting will go up.

yeah. not a fan of root in place while attacking.

This occurs of melee too. not just casters. Trying to position as a rogue and dealing with this is a pita. Especially with the various knockbacks.

All CC is damage friendly from what I can tell. If something is frozen or levitated or whatever then feel free to beat on it, not only is it not gonna fight back but it will probably take additional damage from you as you gain Combat Advantage etc.

I take back what I said earlier about it being impossible to pull aggro from a cleric / guardian fighter. Turns out that if you are a competent Rogue or Wizard and the cleric/guardian are not then you will indeed be pulling aggro. Additionally while TR might be the king of dps I was just running low level groups with a couple TR and I was annihilating their damage with my Wizard. This goes back to what I said earlier : use your abilities. I had assumed that all the Control Wizard powers were on super long cooldowns because I never saw them being used... seems I was just grouping with mouth breathers before.

If something isnt being force choked, sucked into a wormhole, frozen solid or otherwise visibly fucked at least once every 4 seconds then you need to kick your Wizard.

I was looking around the gwf feats and shit and there is a tanking tree. Does anyone know what's up with that? I wonder if I should keep on keeping on.

Fighters are 'Defenders' in D&D and so while the Great Weapon Fighter is not as pure a tank as a Guardian Fighter, they are still capable of performing that role. GWF are a hybrid DPS/Tank primarily intended to be an off-tank in a 5 man group.

Oh, sounds awful. I think I'll make a cleric tonight.

Edit:
Anyone get the founder pack/guardian pack with the legacy weapon? Is it any good?

Got the Guardian pack.

Basically, with my rogue, I kept the legacy weapon up until something like lvl16/17 for the damage. For the first ten levels I could almost one shot anything with it.

The enchant on it that you can transfer is crap though. +10 to things like crit, armor pen and whatever. Did not try if it scaled on a higher level weapon though.

The Legacy weapon gets you through to the level where the first dungeon queues unlock (15? 16?) so you can speed through that largely solo content and get to a point where you have a companion, queueable daily dungeons, daily quests etc.

The wolf comes as a companion on all your characters (which you can use at level 4 as soon as you get him out of the mail) as does the 110% mount which you can use at level 20, so it is worth it if you plan to have several characters since the $$ cost of a 110% mount otherwise is fairly high.

I just can't get past how bad the npc/character models are in this game. The game itself seems ok to me, and the combat animations for a TR are pretty smooth (compared to a GWF which is just bad). Haven't had any problems killing things with my TR (without a founders pack). Are the mounts really needed? The game appears to not have any large overworld areas, just a bunch of cityscapes.

When you reach the first city and have to go talk to a guy on the other side of it, I was tempted to buy a mount from the zen store right then and there. Too bad you can't use them until 20. :(

Also agree with you on the character models. I didn't spend too long with the game in the previous beta weekends, but I think they've improved since then or maybe there's more customization options available now or something; I feel like I had an easier time making a guy that isn't completely ugly this time around. I could be imagining things, though!

I'm having a lot of fun and haven't spent a dime. Then again I'm not the type of person who actively looks for reasons to dislike a game.

Same... not to mention I've made 50k Astral Diamonds in two days without even trying. If it's a "cash grab" it's one of the worst ones I've seen in awhile. Apparently, mount purchases through the Zen store are also account-wide, something Turbine and SOE don't even do.

The $60 pack isn't bad. The legacy weapon speeds up the leveling/killing til you hit your late teens, you get a wolf pet that can level to rank 30 (gold bought companions only go to 15, for now) the mount is way faster than the gold bought ones and is useful mainly because the base run speed is slow as fuck. Plus you get 600k AD, which ain't bad. I'm only level 24 and haven't spent any yet. Probably gonna save it til I can sell it for enough Zen and get an epic cleric companion, since I read that the rank 15 one has serious survival problems in later levels.

I don't feel like spending cash on this game, but it would only be for the legacy weapon to speed up early levels. But by the time I feel like doing that, I won't need the early help.

This game is nothing but a cash grab scheme.
All things in capitalism are nothing but a cash grab scheme, though. But I do think that their price points are two times too high. The game is fun, and does not require that you use any money to play it. If you want to run around in a wedding dress though, be prepared to pay $30.
