I think four months is more reasonable than six for this kind of thing.
The player base will drain month two and be dead month three and come back month four for the new content and repeat the cycle. Like path of exile leagues.
Six months means four months of the majority of your subscriptions canceled. It's like daybreak hasn't done this before or something.

Three months is plenty for classic. We were so sick of that shit on Vulak and that was with us only getting 40/50% of raid mobs.
Kunark is a lot of fun because of grinding up iksar, new leveling/raiding and meaningful quest content. If they nerfed pets we could easily do a year + of classic/kunark combined.

Kunark has a lot to offer. A lot of gearing to be done. Epics as well. Not to mention just fun to explore and grind in places like Seb. Like Zaide mentioned you have a new race to level and you can actually go back and enjoy the classic content even more with a little thinking. Not that I like to ruin the experience but classic gets bland fast and I really just want to get a small taste and move on for nostalgia.
I'll be moving a long slowly on LJ simply because of work and now our family vacation but i'll be much more involved on the EQ2 PvP server if we need anyone to help guide some people along. I spent a lot of time as a raid cleric on EQ1 but nothing like I invested on EQ2 Nagafen.

P99 proves kunark does not have any of this besides 10 levels and epics. The gearing up aspect is useless. Velious is your gear up expansion. VP is for clickytoy garbage.
That's even more reason you can extrapolate data from it.
VP gear is not a big deal for Velious (Outside of Crown, Robe, and SoW sword, who cares). All you need is the important epics really, since I'd wager Donals BP will drop nerfed already.
