Domestic abuse only rivals DUI's in the NFL, seriously the number of NFL players guilty of domestic abuse through out the history of the NFL I bet you could put together a hall of fame team or at least a probowl caliber team. Same shit different year when it comes to domestic violence and the NFL.
You can start with jim Brown.

Fuck outside the lines and that fat piece of shit that reports for it. He's ruined peoples lives over false accusations.

Goodell is so so fucked. Why in the hell would he lie to the public? He already admitted he messed up the penalty.
One of the sports talking heads, I can't remember which, brought up the fact that the resolution of the Jim Irsay situation was looming on the horizon and that perhaps Goodell low-balled Rice's suspension so that Irsay's punishment would seem harsher by comparison. Personally, I don't think he saw the full tape and went easy on Rice anyway. Domestic violence just hasn't been one of the issues that, historically, just hasn't registered a powerful response from the NFL. They didn't pursue the investigation with their usual vigor as a result and maybe Irsay's impending punishment made Goodell inclined to look at the Rice incident as something of a break.

I feel like domestic abuse is such a strange thing during our time and the NFL doesn't know how to handle it. There's been such a large push by the media and other organizations to "teach" people that beating the shit out of your spouse is wrong. Like this is something that needs to be taught to people? It's not uncommon that this kind of stuff happens in relationships and it's not because we're taught that it's ok to hit your spouse, it's because when you're in a monogamous relationship tensions run high and people by nature are very poor at handling stress. Sometimes things happen where your ass gets clocked in an elevator or you're driving to a party and your ghetto annoying barbadian girlfriend wont shut the fuck up so you punch her a bunch of times, I'm sure these people realized what they did was wrong and failed to control themselves in those situations. I feel like these are the type of things that everyone's trying to combat, not the actual wife beaters that go home and beat the shit out of their wife because they had a bad day at work and the wife stays around because "he treat me so gud". This is probably the reason why Goodell didn't think it was that bad, because it really isn't if it's a SINGLE instance of poor judgement. Unfortunately it's near impossible to tell if it's just a lapse in judgement and a one-time occurrence.

People learn from situations like this too, I don't doubt Ray and Janay learned from their altercation and became better people from it, I've been in a situation like that and if you two sit down and talk about what happened, most of the time your relationship can overcome and get stronger from it. No I've never hit a woman, or anyone in my life for that matter.

Sutekh is a woman beater! How can the mods allow him to post freely? If Sutekh isn't banned indefinitely,Tuco should be fired for condoning violence against women.

Shit if I hit my ex-girlfriend I'm pretty sure I'd be in jail for murder right now. She's 5'5" 115, I'm 6' 225.

Then again, I guess I could be posting via Jail with internet privileges for good behavior.

Bro I aint fat. I've been getting swol since I was 14 years old.
Bro, I gotta admit, beating women does build up muscle mass. But, bro, listen, your body fat index has to be unhealthily high and I'm worried about your future. Its ok to do cardio bro, there is no shame in it.

Since you're worried I'll give you a PEAK into my workout plan.

Normally I wake up every morn and run ~3 miles (sometimes I'm lazy and skip weekends). After work I hit the gym on M-W-F and will play a couple games of ball before liftin.

Shit's been crazy lately though, a kid stepped on my kicks in a ball game and ripped them in half so I've been shoeless for like two weeks and haven't had time to go get a new pair since I've been packing and getting shit ready to move. Might be another week before I get a chance to grab a new pair of shoes and a gym membership in my new place though.

God I'm so hard right now.

Is your new workout plan the reason you stopped beating women?

Shefter is reporting Josh Gordon will likely get 8 games.#freejoshgordon
Here, once again the NFL makes absolute clowns of themselves.

If you're going to review the rec. drug policy, and Gordon's suspension - then make the correct decision this time around.

Nothing short of total revocation of the suspension is appropriate.

Stop being SO fucking short sighted. In 1, 2 maybe 3 years the NFL will simply do away with the rec. drug policy's positioning on marijuana ENTIRELY.

What is wrong with these fucking people.
