The league is attempting to play judge and juror all while ignoring the actual decisions of legitimate judges. AP's suspended because a beer company complained, it's horseshit.
It's their league, if they don't want someone playing in it then it's up to them. The fact that they're paying him makes it no different than a coach benching a player

Not exactly. It's just like any other job where wrongful termination/suspension laws apply.

Except there are morality clauses in their contracts which are most definitely violated by what they did and the NFL could fall under some right to work shit on top of it.

SJWs rule the world. Is RR our last bastion of hope? Perhaps the Tanoomba's of the world are more plenty than we would like to believe.

I guess we'll see, the moral clauses are different for each team and organization.

It really is bullshit the way Ray Rice has been treated though.

Look at Brandon Marshall, he used to beat the shit out of his spouses and has the police called on him multiple times, now he's considered a good role model and great guy in the NFL. Ray Rice gives his woman the only one hit and he's seen as LITERALLY HITLER I CANT EVEN. Brandon Marshall missed almost no time, Ray Rice is suspended indefinitely.

It's horseshit.

That's what happens when you have video evidence and a media splurge.

Also, a cover-up.

It's pretty funny all the crying and screaming over cover ups and how Goodell should be held responsible blah blah. I guess we'll just have to rely on our justice system rather than his employer to prosecute.

Oh wait... Fucking retards blaming the employer when the State has chosen to not be bothered with it? Give me some righteous outrage at that. Rice deserves to be imprisoned not suspended. Stop blaming the wrong people.

A football player is an employee in a "public sector" ie, famous -some of them.

if most employees in a public exposed setting(reporter, tv star etc) gets shown popping a right hook and knocking a woman out,,they are most likely OUT OF A JOB, or suspended for a while- which rice has been (suspended for a "while" can he get back in, yep maybe next year if he undergoes treatment, etc shows remorse etc, just like a normal person)

this type of person, gets arrested for child abuse. they are villified, they almost invariably get FIRED, or suspended from their job, has to undergo treatment etc. if convicted, then good luck with that...

there is a difference between discipline and abuse. some people go too far and say it is abuse to discipline your child via corporal punishment, i disagree to an extent, should a parent be able to spank a child, with a solid object? yes, again, to AN EXTENT..

a swift firm whack or two with an OPEN hand to the butt should work fine. using a ruler, belt, switch, whatever, a swift firm whack or two should be sufficient, never EVER should said objects break skin or be to the genitals, a ruler to the back of the hand is ok, again, swift, firm, one or two, never breaking skin.

your opinion on this matter might vary, but what - supposedly- peterson did, went beyond discipline...to abuse. saying "that is how is it is done in the south/how he was brought up" doesn't cut it, it just perpetuates the myth and the abuse to the next generation.

i have 3 kids, two are 10 and one 13... and they have been given said swift whack or two to the butt,...and the occasional pulled twisted ear, and they -according to most adults that know them- are very well behaved, is it, the rare discipline that makes them this way, or their temperment or whatever, no idea. but invariably my kids are better behaved then 80% of the other kids we encounter that are their ages...so i had to have done something right.

No one gives a fuck about you, your opinion on corporal punishment, or your kids. This isn't your fucking blog.

All that matters is that the dude wasn't charged the first time the police and investigators looked at the case. After seeing the SHIT STORM that happened with the prosecutors in the Ray Rice situation, they reviewed the case a second time and charged him.

Social Media is a plague.

Actually it's more because of Radisson, considering they sponsor the team and their logo is sitting right next to the vikings logo during these pressers.

Ray Rice should be suspended, but it shouldn't be indefinite since he already got a two game suspension. The 2nd video didn't change the facts that Rice had already told them.

Not that this is a big deal, but I disagree. AP was placed on the exempt comissioner's list meaning the suspension was doled out from the NFL. if the NFL imposed the punishment, it's likely unrelated to Radison and its sponsorship of the vikings.
