NFL 2014 - 2015 Season Thread

TNF has typically been a dumping ground for shit games, likely because of the league's guarantee that each team gets at least one primetime appearance. GB/MIN is at least a division game and a well known rivalry, not the NFL's fault one of the biggest stars in the game is facing child abuse charges and their impressive rookie QB got hurt. Made sense to schedule it on paper, but that's why they play the games.

The point wasn't that they're bad match ups, but that they are bad games because they are on a Thursday. Schedule is all fucked up, players out of routine and/or playing on 3 days rest instead of 6.

42-0 and still in the 3rd, Zimmer should ask the refs if they can just surrender.

You can just tell even in the preseason, this vikings team won't play for any quarterback other than Bridgewater, just a completely different demeanor with Cassel and Ponder in there. There is absolutely no excitement on this team with those two playing quarterback.

Yes, Dallas on Thanksgiving is fine but mainly because they have been doing it for decades, maybe after 3-5 years of these Thursday night games teams might get used to it eventually as well but for now this is the typical shit you are going to see and it sure as fuck isn't quality football.

Only exciting thing left in this game is if the Vikings get shut out or not.

The all-division TNF schedule was put in because 1)Teams know teams in their division, and 2) Being regional, should involve less travel than average. They were attempting to make the games better.

I still think the NFL fixes everything with the double bye week plan. Get rid of a preseason game, make the regular season 18 weeks, everyone gets a second bye week before their TNF game, so with 10 days off on each side, teams have plenty of time to prepare.

based on how much of a slaughterfest TNF has been, the new theme should probably just be Undertaker's music when he walks in to the ring.
