Robert Griffin could end up being the second coming of Joe Montana...but it'll never happen in Washington. The organization has no way to control, coach, or otherwise deal with a douche with a huge ego because the team is owned by a douche with a huge ego. The persistent and totally believable rumors about Snyder playing clear and public favorites with one player out of 53 (probably a bigger problem within the team than people think) Griffin's father hanging around the locker room/front office, etc. are 100% Redskins. You put a guy who apparently already had a healthy ego coming out of college in an organization like this...why be surprised when this is the result?
He needs to be in a place where the only thing he hears from the owner is "go talk to your fucking coaches" or "tell your father this isn't a high school". Maybe New England would have worked better. I'd like to see Belichick's reaction to some guy's daddy buzzing around the front office. Robert Griffin might have a future in pro football. Redskins QB Subway Bob does not.

The guy is a running QB who is now probably permanently banged up, he was never a good pocket passer, he ran around until coverage broke down and then threw it or broke a run. What is his ceiling? The good scramblers like young, rodgers, wilson and i will even through roethlisburger in there can all read defenses fairly well. The scramblers who can't? They have a break out year, then they get dinged up and figured out and fizzle. Vick first on that list. Maybe he can turn it around and take the trajectory of like newton rather than vick but I doubt it.

RG3 is a super expensive Vince Young.
And his first year can be chalked up to Kyle Shanahan pulling a genius move and confusing the hell out of defensive coordinators. The read option allowed RG3 to essentially face 10 man defenses because no one knew how to contain it. That meant the defense was playing a soft man coverage, and allowed him to look like a legitimate QB. But then you take away his explosiveness and have some more game tape and it falls apart. Now you can just sit back in zone and RG3 doesn't know what to do.
