It was that sideways helmet to helmet spear hit to the head he took towards the end of the game. I am betting that will draw a nice fine for that Lion player. Frankly I was shocked that he did not get knocked out by that hit and that is wasn't Suh who delivered it.

Aldon Smith has been in and out of legal trouble for the last 2 years. A lot of the local police have been giving him "favorable" treatment (no surprise) and the team ownership has done what they can to get him "well" (rehab/treatment stints). I'm convinced it's a leadership/culture problem, which I think starts with the HC. We'll see if that's the case come next season, I guess.

It could just be a simple case of Aldon being a thug, but a strong HC should be able to turn that around, IMO. Singletary, for all his faults and shortcomings, did a pretty amazing job in a similar situation with Vernon Davis.

They just dismissed someone for criminal investigation. It just seems like they keep the trouble makers around and it's biting them in the butt.

I hope Smith can get it together he would be wasting a lot of talent.

No, they initially kept McDonald around, citing that they wanted to let the "process" play out before taking action. Well, the DA decided not to file charges against him in the alleged sexual assault. The team released him after another, separate incident.

Aldon would've been gone a long time ago if he wasn't so goddamned talented. Sadly, he's wasting it all away on being a moron.
