Kaeperbro is a young guy. Being an old guy in the cold with a bad back is an entirely different situation. If the cold trope was not partially true, you would not see Megatron being thankful that the Sunday game got flexed up earlier.

The "Oh, but it's so coooooold!" trope is so over-hyped. A Colin Kaepernick led 49ers beat the Packers there in one of the coldest games in playoff history. The weather affects Green Bay just as much as it affects an away team. Nobody likes playing in that shit.
To some extent it is true. Weather has more impact on certain play styles though, rain and wind have a much larger effect on pass heavy teams than run heavy. I would say cold weather impacts pass teams more, but probably not very much

How much of the Fins issues were his fault though? I was under the impression that their front office more or less dealt him a hand full of shit for the most part.

Plus Romo with a bad back in the cold...
Uhh, the games in Chicago and Philly weren't exactly dome games. I agree that the Frozen Tundra isn't exactly the same beast but you're speculating performance off something that hasn't been an issue since the Thanksgiving game.

His clock management is suspect at the very least. He called that timeout on like 4th and 10 against GB with maybe 30 seconds remaining, which should have been a fire-able offense. Then proceeded to do it again 1 or 2 games later in the very same scenario which lead to another loss.

Nah. Front Office gave him all the tools he needed to succeed this year. Injuries hurt our season, but almost any team can say that in the league. His refusal to make substitutions on under performing players (DALLAS THOMAS), poor clock management (GIVING EVERYONE FREE TIME OUTS IN THEIR 2 MINUTE DRILL), piss poor half-time adjustments (SEE NEW ENGLAND/BRONCOS GAME), and double late season collapse is what would ultimate have been his demise. But he's here for the last year of his contract so it's either make the playoffs or find a new place to be.

There are exactly two reasons Joe Philbin hasn't been fired.

1. Ryan Tannehill's progression over his career, which is largely attributed to Lazor.
2. Don Shula likes him.

The only trope that is over-hyped is that somehow some teams are immune to it. Playing in the cold sucks ass for everyone.

Not a chance. It is a literal boon for the Patriots.

I couldn't possibly care any less if you disagree with me, before you start smashing your keyboard responding

To be fair, it always affects the older players, even if they are used to the environment. Its the younger and middle age guys where you see the difference. It is noticeable and there are stats that back it up. Its probably not as pronounced as the myth makes it out to be, however.

Heh - Catler gets injured in the final game of the season, thwarting any attempts of pawning him (and his contract) off to another team. So next year the Bears will be stuck with another nonchalant player collecting big bucks as the team continues their downward spiral into last place again.

Deserve no, paid for yeah! Just because Araysar is an insufferable troll doesn't mean all Chicago fans should have to suffer.
Bro, I dont troll.

I also dont understand why they are starting him. There's like zero upside to playing him.

The Commisaysar has nothing to do with giving Cutler a 3 year guaranteed contract that's now like an albatross around the neck of the organization. Though I think I've said numerous times in this thread, as long as the McCaskey's own the club nothing will ever change. They may not be on the same level as Snyder, Jerrah or Al Davis but just being related to George Halas doesn't mean you know anything about football. That and I'm pretty sure the team is just used as a way to get all the kids and grandkids regular pay checks.
