Yeah, I'm absolutely baffled by the optimism Eagles fans are showing right now.
They look great! Really, it's Bradford that has me so optimistic. Dude just looks legit with accuracy and throwing power.

Btw. All this injury talk to Bradford is valid but it's not like Romo is the shining example of health either. Dude needs a new back...

I don't think anyone has ever doubted Bradford's talent. He is just made out of glass.

It's less optimism than the simple fact that the NFC will have two wildcards. It sure looks like we can rule the North and the South out, and I think nearly everyone would be shocked if the Redskins or 49ers won one.

So pick the two healthiest players next year out of Odell Beckham, Carson Palmer, Sam Bradford, & Nick Foles. (Especially if Kelly's hurriest up offense means opposing defenses are winded and not operating at top speed after the first couple series.) It's not impossible Bradford is one of the lucky ones out ofthatbunch.

Yeah, but all this optimism is more like "Eagles are the best team in the NFC this year" and not "We'll sneak in as a wild card if our QB isn't hurt." That's a huge difference.

Are you suggesting that if Bradford stays healthy that the Eagles will likely be 14-2 with homefield through the playoffs is unreasonable expectations?

You can never justify delusional homerism.

Cautious optimism is warranted here, and hell, IF Bradford stays healthy (and given the issues in Seattle & Green Bay), they could be in the running for the #1 seed.

Hmm.. that's a tough one. I think both happen. How about that?

Do you guys think Dallas is the clear cut favorite for first?

Dallas.

Comparing apples to apples, Dallas only lost one offensive player. Admittedly one that produced a lot last year but he wasn't going to repeat that performance. I consider that a wash. They definitely got better defensively, and the only loss of a huge contributor is due to injury but they also have better depth than they used to so it's not as bad as it could be.

Philly lost a lot of players and not just scrubs. We're talking some of the best players on the team. It's a team with too many questions.

What do you think the questions are? I think we are fine on Offense but our D needs to prove itself. They look good but it's only preseason so they can come undone pretty fast.

Health issues are a concern for all teams. I really don't want to see butt fumble this year so I'm hoping Bradford's luck changes.

Thanks for making a prediction at least. Mario comes in here trying to poke fun and doesn't even drop a prediction. If you are going to throw stones, at least go on record..

Trying to take my bias aside: Dallas lost a really good back in Murray & the Scandrick injury blows. That being said with the additions of an elite pass rusher (Hardy) & numerous depth upgrades defensively, not to mention the solidification of the o-line with Collins... Dallas is clearly the favorite for the East.

The Murray loss has been downplayed way too much by Dallas fans. I just don't see them as effective on offense without him. He ate my eagles up last year. I'm not even saying that because we have him. I'd say it regardless of where he went. That loss is going to be felt.
