If a receiver makes contact with a forward pass, shifts it to another hand without having established control, and then loses the ball, it would be an incomplete pass, not a fumble. If coming into contact with the ground had knocked the ball out of Dez's hand, it still would have been an incomplete pass, not a fumble. He never established control of that ball before it touched the ground.
