I wish there were more RBs like Alstott, Bettis, and Lynch. Its sad most of them can't break tackles regularly, and use their speed and not their power to play the game. For me it was always more entertaining to see a RB get hit and shed a tackle, than it was for an RB to outrun a defender
Made me think of Bo. Man I miss Bo.

Child beating aside, do you watch much of AP? Because he does both of these things. One benefit to being a Vikings fan is getting to witness him on the field. He makes guys miss like Reggie Bush did in college and trucks dudes that square up against him.

Ah yeah good call, AP is definitely fun to watch. I guess its easy to forget him since he lost 2 seasons out of the last 5.

Yeah, I always remember that year where him and CJ.5k were going off, and they compared the two running styles. CJ was all finesse, and they pointed out that AP would literally be down the sideline and smash into the defender back into the field of play. Lots of talk then about his body wouldn't last long in the NFL.

Who would've guessed the real reason he wouldn't be playing?

Man that makes me so sad. The Bucs in 1986 could have had Bo Jackson at RB and Steve Young at QB. But Bo didn't want to play for the racist/cheap owner, and Steve Young got traded because the Bucs sucked at developing players

Well that owner might have had a chance if he hadn't fucked up Bo's last year of eligibility to play baseball for Auburn. Ever watch the 30 for 30 on Bo? He explains in pretty no bullshit detail why he went to baseball to avoid playing for the Bucs.

Red Sox had the Curse of the Bambino. Bengals have the Curse of Bo.
And the real shitty part is Kevin Walker made a textbook tackle from behind. It wasn't a dirty play in any sense of the word. Bo was just being Bo. I believe if sports medicine was handled back then like it is today, they would have done an MRI on Bo that night, seen the torn artery, repaired it, and the cartilage in Bo's hip wouldn't have died.

Edit: Hip, I meant hip.

LOL his attempted leap there. Like he said, fuck leaping, leaping is for chumps, lets just run up someone's leg!

But I liked it back in the days when the RBs would leap over that pile on the goal line. I miss it.
I remember watching Marcus Allen do that every game

Alstott used to jump over piles all the time, and if it failed he'd do... well that. Saw him a couple years ago at a mall in Tampa, he still looks like a goddamn beast.

Boknowsroids. Someone his size running below 4.12 at the time, lol....even hand held that's retarded.

Bo would have been seeing some 4 game suspensions, but it was still fun as shit watching him run. I think they should just let everyone use them, Randy Moss on juice would have been some funny shit watching people try to cover him.
