We could have a really sweet roller coaster ride if the NFL appeals and it ends up being the full 4 games.

I honestly think they NFL needs to let this go. This story has been so overblown and nobody wants to hear about it anymore. If the NFL appeals, and loses, they are going to look even dumber.

Plus getting a court to overturn the decision of a real judge is almost impossible.

The NFL wont appeal. They got away with murder once when they upheld the age limit in clear violation of Labor laws.

Well it looks like the NFL is going to drag it out

Update: ESPN's Andrew Brandt has reported on Sportscenter that the league is planning to appeal Judge Berman's decision.
I guess we will know more later today

IMO the NFL should have just gone for the settlement. Brady had to sign his agreement of guilt, and it is done.

Too late for that now tho.

Yeah I'm sick of hearing about it whether Brady gets the punishment he deserves or not.

The NFL should have just fined the Pats which is the standard they set and called it a day, instead they've wasted millions of dollars and Goodell keeps looking like a bigger faggot. Great job NFL.

Shitshow. My only skin in this game was poking at Azeth* and watching the Pats* as an organization fall over themselves.

I'd say at this point that's been accomplished. Time to let it go.

AFC East is pretty beefed up defensively. Then there's Suh. I'm sure he could accidentally step on Tommy if we all asked nicely.

At this point, the NFL has to pursue this to the bitter end. They picked this hill to die on for this issue. Basically, if they don't, then its a green light to cheat in any way you think you can get away with from here on out. Imagine Jerrah and the Deadskins going back and sueing over all the penalties they ate over salary cap, which I certainly would consider doing if the NFL rolls over on this.

End result for Brady is the same, though. He is basically a white OJ Simpson to the fanbase not living in Massachusetts.

This entire thing was a huge embarrassment for the NFL. If they appeal they'll continue to look like bigger idiots. I'd let it go at this point.

They should have, or still should if it would do any good (it wouldn't, the cap for those seasons is already gone and already affected those years). Otherwise they can just get some money from the league.
