It's not about goodell though. In a sport like this, selectively not enforcing rules hurts everyone who abided by those rules. In the NFL most of those players are black and all but a few of them make less money.Doesn't Goodell make more per year than Brady?
Didn't the judge only overrule the appeal where it was reduced to 4 games? So it should revert back to the 10 game suspension.I just read the ruling. It is exactly how he lost it.
Goodell, ruled that some testimony was out of bounds on the appeal, giving the appearance of unfairness. Second he based his decision on the word "knew", when the report said "generally aware", again an arbitrator is not supposed to introduce new evidence. Third he drew punishment from the steroid use section, which the judge said are not related.
In other words, Goodell needs to buy an outside arbitrator. I can see now more cases been taken to the court since its hard to be the arbitrator of your own punishment.
Hardy has already served a 15 game suspension. How is that scott free?If Hardy gets off then it basically makes the NFL a system of: fuck up -> pay off person -> scott free. By the same logic AP and Rice should sue as well since they didn't have any criminal charges brought up.
The judge overruled the arbitrator. Basically in legalese he said the arbitrator fucked up, royally. This clears the way to Tom Brady to play, until the NFL appeals to a higher court. It make no sense to punish Tom Brady by ruling the arbitration incorrect, and then have him incur the same penalty or worse if he had not gone to the arbitrator. It's not about goodell though. In a sport like this, selectively not enforcing rules hurts everyone who abided by those rules. In the NFL most of those players are black and all but a few of them make less money.
So like I said, justice works for the rich white man and sticks it to the poor black man. Again.
Didn't the judge only overrule the appeal where it was reduced to 4 games? So it should revert back to the 10 game suspension.
"Based upon the foregoing and applicable legal authorities, the Court hereby denies the
Management Council's motion to confirm the Award and grants the Players Association's
motion to vacate the Award, thereby vacating the four-game suspension of Tom Brady,
effective immediately."
Or is the NFL taking it not way too far enough?NFL taking way too far without any hard evidence. What a odd situation to go "all in" on.
That would be hilarious. Greg Hardy and Ray Rice (if he ever plays again) should bring sex dolls to the sideline and beat them to get warmed up too. AP could probably come up with little boy doll of his own.I hope Brady starts bringing a bike pump to games and working it on the sidelines to "warm up his throwing arm". Fuck Goodell.
Hardy has a stronger case than Brady did. Goodell gave him a 10 game suspension when the policy at the time Hardy's incident happened was for only for 2 gamesIf Hardy gets off then it basically makes the NFL a system of: fuck up -> pay off person -> scott free. By the same logic AP and Rice should sue as well since they didn't have any criminal charges brought up.
yea except the part where Hardy actually committed an offense and Brady didnt.Hardy has a stronger case than Brady did. Goodell gave him a 10 game suspension when the policy at the time Hardy's incident happened was for only for 2 games
