And also, another big FUCK. Totally forgot my wife got tickets to a concert tonight, so I will be missing the first game of the year. My only hope is they are playing it at the bar we are going to first so I can at least catch the first half.

Not sure what the gayest part of that picture is. The minivanapalooza in your driveway, or the 49er flag. Even if you need a minivan, make your wife drive something manly so it's not so obvious. Also, whats up with everyone having the same basketball goal? Is that something the builder throws in for free? Do you guys play games using them both? Sorta like having a full court, but sideways.

While the NFL provides the equipment it's the home team that is responsible for them, per NFL's own statement:

"The coaches' communications equipment, including the headsets, is provided by the NFL for both clubs use on game day," the league said in a statement this morning. "The home team is responsible for the installation and maintenance of that equipment. Every team's game day communications personnel are required to work with the NFL communications consultants to ensure wireless equipment is free and clear of interference and address any problems. Technological and stadium infrastructure issues of this type happen at many stadiums around the league and whenever there are issues of this nature, we do a thorough review."

But the league personnel have the decision to make both teams stop using the headsets or not, and they decided to let it ride b/c problems cleared up. Steelers should be pissed at NFL, it seems.

"We had a lot of problems," Patriots coach Bill Belichick said. "We had to switch headphones a couple of times. The communication system wasn't very good. We deal with that, it seems, weekly.

"They told us they were on the verge of shutting it off, but then I guess they got it working. I don't know, but it was a problem the whole game. We almost had to switch helmets with [Tom] Brady there at the end. Couldn't get the plays in to him. It was a problem all night."

Didn't get to see the entire game, but in the 4th quarter one of the announcers was talking about some terrible call or decision by the officials that I think went against the steelers and that, I guess, cost them the game. WTF was he talking about? Was that about the headsets?
